Note 1: Please note that the TALD used by the DCS: F/A-18C Hornet is different from the one developed by Heatblur for their F-14. Heatblur will be using the TALD developed for the Hornet, but this task was not complete in time for this Open Beta, but it should be available for the following.

Note 2: We are nearing completion of the F-16C flight model and FLCS adjustments, and following this, the Hornet will get the same flight model and FCS review. This is one of the primary remaining items on the Hornet’s roadmap. The team also continues work on the UFC BackUp page, and GPS-guided weapon updates. Please see the Hornet roadmap here.

DCS: AH-64D by Eagle Dynamics

  • Added Target State Estimator (TSE).

Note: The next big, new items planned for the AH-64d will be the Image Auto-Tracker (IAT) set of functions that allow the TADS to lock on to a target with sufficient contrast rather than having to manually track it with the thumb force controller. Following the inclusion of IAT, we plan to add DCS: AH-64D to the free trial period program.

  • Mission 02: Added ACLS / Link4 to USS Valley Forge.
  • Mission 03 (and M03 ALT A): Fixed issue with Smoke not performing Show of Force over Basrah. Fixed rare issue when Player and Bowser would talk at the same time when Smoke is ordered to attack second target. Fixed "mission complete" message appearing at mission start.
  • Mission 04: Fixed rare issue where Weed would RTB when detached to fly to his sector. Updated taxi part and added extra information for the player for extra clarity.

Note: We are investigating the addition of all the possible delivery modes for a later update. In the meantime, the GBU-24A/B provides greater range and better hard-target capability than the GBU-10.

DCS: Mi-24P Hind by Eagle Dynamics

  • Added: R-60M missile. To be able to use this missile you need to check the "R-60 equipment" box for Mi-24P aircraft slot additional properties in the mission editor (it is checked by default). R-60M missile launchers can be mounted only on racks 1 and 4. DCS WORLD: MI-24P || R-60M Air to Air Missile.

    Additional points:

    • If R-60M launcher present at least on one of those racks it blocks usage of any other weapon on its symmetric rack
    • If current loadout have R-60M and ATGM, then Petrovich AI ATGM launch command shortcut on cyclic weapon release button is disabled if R-60M launcher is engaged.
    • If you untick the "R-60 equipment" box in additional parameters of the Mi-24P aircraft slot in the mission editor it will automatically restrict R-60M for this particular aircraft using loadout restriction system. Although if you tick this box again in the same aircraft it won't remove the restriction automatically, it can be removed manually at any time.
    • Usage of R-60M blocking release of bombs from inner racks.

    • Based on Skill Level, AI will use different defensive manoeuvres such as look down clutter notch and reversal/extensions.
    • AI will randomly use the direction of offsets (cranks) and notches.
    • Use chaff  when the missile is 60 degrees off the nose. This allows the AI to use chaff more effectively when abeam of the threat radar.
    • Aircraft without radar guided missiles will not climb and accelerate to intercept the enemy.

  • Improvements have also been made to the G-onset and Instantaneous Turn Rate. The G-onset is how fast the aircraft can generate G; previously, this rate was too slow. The ITR is the turn rate when the aircraft is either losing or gaining airspeed, rather than at a sustained airspeed. Please note that the ability of the aircraft to generate G highly depends on the aircraft’s weight, drag index, altitude, engine setting, etc.

DCS: A-10C Operation Persian Freedom Campaign by Ground Pounder Sims

  • M12 - Fixed bug where Davy fails to stop attacking targets near mission end.
  • M14 - Altered engagement on task 1 to compensate for AI ground troops accuracy improvement, Fixed rare bug that allowed third JTAC task to enter a continual loop.
  • M15 - Fixed bug that allowed Davy to get shot down, Removed exploding tree from Archangel LZ, Tweaked JTAC cleared hot condition.

DCS Known Issues

Master Volume control to in game voice chat window. Please note the default volume will be set to 0. You will need to click on the gear icon in the in-game window, and set the volume to desired level. This only applies when upgrading - new installs, default will be 50%
