The southern region of the DCS: Iraq map continues to take shape with new airfields, cities, industrial zones, and unique landmarks like Kharg Island, the Kuwait Towers, NBK Tower, and Stadium 974. From Desert Storm to modern conflicts, this evolving theatre is steadily coming to life.
The northern region of the DCS: North Afghanistan map progresses with the additions of Mazar-i-Sharif, Kunduz, Fayzabad, and Sheberghan airfields in Afghanistan and Mary International Airport and Mary-2 airfields in Turkmenistan. We are also testing new map optimization technology aimed at reducing install sizes without sacrificing visual quality.
Development of the DCS: F-15C Eagle continues to advance following the transition into full production earlier this year. Current efforts are heavily focused on 3D modelling, with advanced photogrammetry and laser scanning helping deliver a highly refined external model and cockpit. More details below.
We are thrilled to share the results of the DCS: C-130J Livery Contest. With over 50 entries, choosing the winners was tough. Congratulations to Tactical Bear, ouky1991, and SkyDragon for earning the top three spots. Mike Busutil also deserves a special mention for completing the bonus challenge with his impressive Tiger livery. Plus, six more great entries will be added to DCS soon. Thanks to everyone who took part and made this contest a success.
