In an effort to increase total DCS immersion and “by the book” play style, I decided to sort through my kneeboards and thought the team could benefit. I’ve separated each kneeboard pack into the categories below. Here are a few things to note:
1. Syria, PG, and Marianas have little-to-no built-in kneeboards, so these are user-generated. You might need to create the directory path below for these maps.
2. Navigation aides can be added directly to each map so that they only show in your kneeboard when you are actively in that map. You can add the navigation aides and aerodrome data to C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta\Mods\terrains\MAP_NAME\Kneeboard for each of the different terrains to enable this feature.
3. Similar to what was said with nav aides, the same can be done with aircraft-specific kneeboard checklists. If done correctly, your kneeboard will only load the kneeboards relevant to the aircraft you’re flying. To enable this, make folders in your SavedGames\DCS.OpenBeta\Kneeboard folder with the game-formatted-name of the Aircraft. For example: FA-18C_hornet, F-16C_50, etc.
4. There are night and day versions of some of the kneeboard pages. I recommend copying the day ones in and leaving the night versions out in a “night” folder. If you want to use the night ones during a night mission, you’ll just have to copy them in before launching DCS.
