The most comprehensive guide for all your carrier launches and recoveries that could be fitted into kneeboard. Supercarrier-compatible, multiplayer-friendly, LSO-proof.
v1.1 (15.01.2021) - Numerous corrections (thanks, bankler!)
DESCRIPTION
This collection of kneeboard charts should cover your whole carrier routine, be it the Supercarrier or the good old Stennis, in both single- and multiplayer.
Everything is based on different NATOPS and CNATRA documents, with careful adjustments made due to current DCS' limitations. I tried to put in as much info as possible, while simultaneously keeping it clear and illustrative for less experienced pilots.
Each page is dedicated to one of the three launch and recovery cases, given in a simple step-by-step format, and also includes the ATC helper, waveoff procedure, limitations, and other useful data.
Finally, the bonus page explains the LSO grading system (and also has a handy map of the carrier's deck). As usual, all pages are available in day and night variants.
While this Suite is tailored for the Hornet, with minor corrections it could be used by the Tomcat drivers as well.
Special thanks to Lex Talionis (for his in-depth explanation of CASE I), and to "DCS With Lovo" YouTube channel (for helping me to understand all the quirks of the Supercarrier's AI).
HOW TO INSTALL
Extract the downloaded archive, then copy the "FA-18C_hornet" folder into your "Saved Games\DCS (or DCS.openbeta)\KNEEBOARD\" directory. You may need to create the "KNEEBOARD" folder if it doesn't exist.
