F-15C für DCS World

Die McDonnell Douglas F-15C Eagle ist ein zweistrahliges Allwetter-Jagdflugzeug zur Luftüberlegenheit, das zu den besten Kampfflugzeugen der Neuzeit zählt. Die vielseitige Eagle ist seit mehr als drei Jahrzehnten die Hauptstütze der amerikanischen Luftverteidigung.

Mit ihrem Puls-Doppler-Radar AN/APG-63(V) kann sie feindliche Flugzeuge auf große Entfernung erkennen, identifizieren und mit AIM-120-AMRAAM- oder AIM-7-Sparrow-Raketen bekämpfen. Für Nahkämpfe ist die Eagle mit AIM-9 Sidewinder und einem internen 20-mm-Gatling-Geschütz M61 Vulcan ausgerüstet, das in der Steuerbord-Flügelwurzel untergebracht ist.

Die F-15C hat im Dienste Israels, Saudi-Arabiens und der USA mehr als 100 Luftkampfsiege ohne bestätigte Verluste errungen - eine Kampfbilanz, die für sich selbst spricht

Die geringe Flächenbelastung, das hohe Schub-Gewichts-Verhältnis und die großen Ruder ermöglichen es dem Flugzeug, eng zu drehen, ohne zu viel Energie zu verlieren, was es in den Händen eines erfahrenen Piloten zu einem mächtigen Gegner macht. Dank der beiden F100-PW-220-Triebwerke von Pratt & Whitney kann die F-15C in weniger als einer Minute vertikal auf 9.100 m (40.000 Fuß) steigen.

Die F-15C wurde 1976 zum ersten Mal in Dienst gestellt und wurde in großem Umfang exportiert - zwischen 1979 und 1985 wurden 483 Exemplare gebaut. Die DCS F-15C Eagle ist seit fast vierzig Jahren der König der Lüfte und eines der aufregendsten und lohnendsten DCS-Flugzeuge, die man fliegen kann.

Introduction

The McDonnell Douglas / Boeing F-15C Eagle is a highly maneuverable fourth-generation twin-engine all-weather tactical fighter. It has been the air superiority fighter mainstay of U.S. and NATO forces since the 1970s and will remain as such well into the 21st century.

Air superiority is achieved through high maneuverability at a wide range of airspeeds and altitudes, as well as advanced weapons and avionics.

The weapons and targeting system the F-15C can detect, track, and engage enemy aircraft autonomously. The F-15C can also be directed by ground and airborne controllers at beyond visual range, medium distances, and in close-quarters maneuvering dogfights, over friendly or enemy territory.

Weapons and control systems are configured in a way that enables a single pilot to effectively fight multiple enemy aircraft. The combination of the powerful radar and long range weapons often give the Eagle the first shot / first kill advantage.

The development program for the F-15C was based on an urgent need for a maneuverable latest-generation fighter, and the design was based new technologies as well as time-honored tradition of such famous aircraft as the P-51 Mustang and the F-86 Sabre.
