Gents,

This is the chart with Viper total weight (lbs), rotation speed (KCAS), lift-off speed (KCAS), runway used (ft), runway left (ft) and some other speeds limits for the jet based on all available real life data, conversions, manuals, etc. Real F-16 pilot took a look at these and his comment was: "this is the closest you'll ever get" - that's good enough for me boys (and girls). Every line has been tested at Incirlik AB, TUR, runway 05 with DCS 2.7 yesterday. It helps me when I plan a missions, no wind, airport elevation at 163 MSL. Hope it will help you with smooth 10° nose up. Situation:
It’s time to give the Soviets on Iceland a few headaches! We are going to sneak in low and fast below radar with low level bombers to take out power and airbase infrastructure. We believe most of the air defence systems were destroyed by the Wild Weasels earlier however they may have obtained additional systems so be alert. Additionally, we now know that there are fighters based on Iceland so we will be prepared for that. We are going to time the strike for when most of the fighters are busy escorting a bomber raid. We will be setting a trap of F-4 Phantoms to jump any fighters that may try to interfere with your exfiltration. Timing is critical to avoid the twin tailed fighters (probably Mig 29s) however we have an asset on the ground code named “Beagle” who is keeping HQ apprised of the Soviet activities. This asset will help us ensure we hit the island at the right time.

The A-16 program starting in the late 1980s was an experiment to utilize the Viper frame to make a faster platform to replace the A-10. It was theorized faster speeds would increase survivability. They even strapped a 30mm gunpod to the centerline station. After vibration and accuracy issues were encountered, the rest is history.

This is a 285th Flying Wrecks version of that skin complete with camo roughmets, pilot helmet, pilot patches, and featuring Rocket Boy! mascot.

Extract into your SavedGames/DCS.Openbeta/ folder.

The 285th Aviation Regiment is a parent aviation regiment of the United States Army. On 1 October 2005 the unit was redesignated as the 1st Battalion (Attack Reconnaissance), 285th Aviation Regiment and on 1 May 2006 it was mobilized to conduct the AH-64D Unit Fielding Training Plan and deploy in support of Operation Enduring Freedom VIII. In April 2012 and August 2013 the unit deployed its Companies A and B in support of Operation Enduring Freedom XII and XIII. On 4 August 2018 the unit was retired from service after a "casing of colors" ceremony.

BuNo 162590 as it was photographed at Miramar in July 1988 in "Tomcat Alley: A Photographic Roll Call of the Grumman F-14 Tomcat" by David F. Brown. It was delivered in November 1985 and was stricken on January 25 1993 while serving with the Renegades. This Tomcat suffered a catastrophic fire while in the FCLP pattern at NAS Miramar. The crew ejected successfully and the aircraft crashed into a landfill next to the base.
