A pretty heavy single player open sandbox training mission on the Normandy 2.0 map. There are no threats.
Modules Required - WW2 Assets (any of the modules you want to train in of course :D )

5 Ranges to choose from, Bing, Frank, Glenn, Andrews and Duke for Ground Attack, Air to Air, Anti Ship, Airbase & Convoy attack.

"Ambient Spawns" - I don't like being the only one taking off so I've added AI that spawn when you do around the airfield.

Airfield populated with Statics and ambient units.

Smoke on targets and Air to Air "drones" available via the Radio menu

There is only one mission file included which contains both hot and cold spawns for all WW2 modules.

After the German defeat at Mortain, two German armies retreated east from Normandy. They were pursued by US, British and Canadian units until they were stopped at the Dives River between Falaise and Argentan. Fire from Canadian and Polish tanks and artillery created a huge German traffic jam and the RAF and 9th US Air Force had a Killing Field. About 10,000 German troops were killed, 50,000 surrendered and 20,000 escaped. It was the final chapter of the Normandy Campaign.

You are LTC Paul Douglas (pictured), CO of the 396th Fighter Squadron at Cardonville. Lead your 16 P-47s to Lambert sur Dives and Moissy and attack German targets of opportunity.

In an attempt to split the US First and Third Armies at Avranches, Hitler ordered all panzer units in Normandy to conduct an attack west to the sea. The advance fell short due to the heroics of the US 30th Infantry Division and US and UK tactical air strikes defending Hill 314 just east of the town of Mortain.

IX TAC had the mission of keeping the Luftwaffe out of the ground battle. You will attack the largest German air base supporting the German ground forces.

On 29 July 1944, four days after the St Lo Breakout, rocket-equipped P-47s of the 405th Fighter Group discovered a huge German vehicle convoy attempting to escape the battle zone near village of Roncey. The convoy was boxed in by tank columns of the 3rd Armored Division and the 2nd Armored Division attacking southwest from St Lo.

The 405th left 204 trucks, 66 tanks and 11 artillery pieces in flames.

You are a flight leader in the 510th Fighter Squadron of the 405th Fighter Group.

25 July 1944 marked the turning point in the battle for Normandy. IX Tactical Air Command started the ball with attacks on two thin strips along the German front lines. Immediately afterward, a massive of force of heavy and medium bombers expanded the target area. A little over an hour later American tanks rolled through the debris into the south.

You are a P-47 flight leader in one of 15 fighter-bomber groups assigned targets along the German lines. Your flight is to attack a battery of 88mm flak guns clearing the way for the heavy bombers behind you.

Once they completed their one-and-done-bombing pass, they turned west and went on an armed recon east of St Lo searching for any German vehicles they could attack.

In mid-July 1944 IX Tactical Air Command received its first HVARs (High Velocity Aerial Rockets), developed by the US Navy and already successful in the Pacific. They also received 17 new P-57D40s already set up to fire the HVARs.

General Quesada gave them to the 513th Fighter Squadron of the 406th Fighter Group for testing. And he gave them a target: Nevers Railyard southeast of Paris where an estimated 50 German locomotives were parked.

You are flying as Col. Anthony Grossetta, commander of the 406th FG and leader of the raid.

FW190D9 sortie against a high altitude B17G bombing raid.

It has been a busy day in the skies with many American bomber raids leaving contrails over the Fatherland today. More bombers are expected in the next few hours. We cannot hope to stop them all but for each one we shoot down we save the lives of hundreds of our citizens and factory workers.

We believe another bomber raid is about to launch from Britain and will fly through the clearer weather in the region of Le Havre.

You and your flight of four FW190 D-9 Doras are on standby to scramble against this threat.
