This mod does three things:

1) It replaces the Hornet's DDI screens with flat LCD MDIs and changes the AMPCD's texture to match. Changes the font to off-white, with an option to keep it green.

2) It alters the green filter applied to the FLIR picture on the DDIs, so the TGP and Maverick video will now appear in gray-scale, similar to the F-16C or A-10C.

3) It excludes the AMPCD font from being controlled by the brightness switches, so that the moving map on the HSI and SA page can dimmed without reducing the text brightness. This feature can be removed.

Install with OVGME/JSGME, using the file named "FA-18C LCD MDIs_OVGME_JSGME_ready".  Manual installation instructions are also available.

!!! This mod does not pass IC,since I had to add a new custom texture.

! Changing the font color also changes the friendly HAFU, PPLI etc symbols to white from green. Seems like they're tied to the font color. I've looked for a way to change that via the .lua files, without success. If anyone can help, I'd appreciate it.

------------------------------------

Option 1: Keep green DDI and AMPCD font. Delete the materials.lua file, located in \FA-18C LCD MDIs\Mods\aircraft\FA-18C\Cockpit\Scripts\ before using the mod.

Option 2: Maintain brightness control for the AMPCD's font. Delete the folder named "Multipurpose_Display_Group", located in \FA-18C LCD MDIs\Mods\aircraft\FA-18C\Cockpit\Scripts\ before using the mod.

------------------------------------

Suggestions are welcome.
