Low level valley run and airfield strike in the Caucasus

This is a low level strike against an airfield, just to the north of the mountains.
An accompanying SEAD flight will keep the air defences busy while you hit the runway and any parked aircraft.
It's early, and a little misty in the hills - have fun!
Allow about an hour to complete the mission.

Because of the current situation in Ukraine, I wasn't sure about uploading this mission, but decided I might as well make it available & anyone who doesn't want to fly it doesn't have to download it.

Abkhazian Antics 2 – Madame Cholet’s Surprise

SHORT BRIEFING:
The Abkhazians have invaded western Georgia with Russian backing, knocking out all of the airbases west of Tbilisi.
They’ve installed defences at Senaki airbase and Zugdidi city.
We’ve established a FARP in the north – Wimbledon Common – (& another at Batumi for Su25) and are now launching strikes against reinforcements and artillery.
Beware of SAMs.
You can fly the Harrier mission against the reinforcements (or use the Su25), or the Gazelle against the artillery. Of course, there's a fair chance other tasks might come up too..
And if you fancy getting creative, just open the editor and swap the planes or helicopters to one's you'd like to fly.

Abkhazian Antics 1 – Exercise on the Common

Situation:
Your flight – whether British Army Gazelle or RAF Harrier (or even Georgian Su25T) – is on a training visit to the Balkans.

Today’s op starts with a short flight to observe an exercise taking place on the other side of the border with Abkhazia. We think they’ll show off some of their latest acquisitions from Russian arms manufacturers, and the Georgians are keen to see what they field.

Co-ordinating the mission is Womble Command, a British field HQ section based at Senaki, but most of your contact on the ground will be with Orinoco – a British scout section in place and observing from a watch tower on the banks of the river that forms the border with Abkhazia.
They'll be looking out for your approach as you get close to WP1.

The Su25T option was added for anyone who doesn't want to spend cash on a more complicated plane, or any cash at all - come to that.

This mission is a bit of an epic - allow about 2hrs to complete it. As you might expect, there's a bit of a twist..

Pirate Voyage Mission 4 – The Davy Jones Locker

Mission 4 of the Pirate Voyage - this time you're escorting an aid convoy.

This mission was inspired by events and sorties described in "617 - Going to war with today's Dambusters" by Tim Bouquet - about the deployment of RAF Tornadoes fr om 617 squadron to Afganistan in 2011 - squadron motto "Apres moi - le deluge". They took over from a Harrier squadron, and this is one of the types of missions they frequently flew, although it's a tad busier.

All the same, it's a change of pace from the missions so far - just babysitting a convoy - what could possibly go wrong?
Expect to get a lot of use out of the targetting pod, and lots of practice finding and wh ere neccesary engaging targets, once again with a little help from Marine Force recon team Barbossa.

Pirate Voyage Mission 3 – Dead Man’s Chest

With Qeshm airport now in rebel hands after this morning’s action, aid supplies are being unloaded both from UAE C130s at the airport and the Tarawa and Nicholas, which have docked at Shib Deraz.

A Forward Operating Base – Tortuga - has been established at Qeshm airport to operate a small force of Cobras and Harriers.

Satellite intel has shown multiple aircraft warming up at Bandar Lengeh airbase (codename Dead man’s Chest) to the east. They’re being loaded with rockets and bombs, so it appears that the squadron based there is planning to raid the airbase and/or the Tarawa group.

Two flights of Harriers are going to carry out a pre-emptive attack – putting the runway and it’s SAM and AAA protection out of action – preventing the strike and stopping the base from being reinforced with more aircraft from the north.

Pirate Voyage - Mission 1 - Blackbeard's Folly

The Tarawa has been deployed to the Persian Gulf, and the spooks have found plans to attack shipping in the area by an Iranian Revolutionary Guard Rocketry unit.
Unfortunately, the missiles they're planning on using are protected against an approach from the sea by SA3s & SA6 batteries.

Fortunately, we have a cunning plan.

This is the first in a series of missions operating around the Persian Gulf - the Pirate Voyage of the Black Pearl...

Also, F15s provide CAP for the mission - You can fly those too if you like.

Persian Gulf Shenanigans

A pair of Ukrainian freighters - the Khom'yak and Tokar - are currently navigating the narrowest part of the straits, 12 miles south of Qeshm island and heading east.

They've just sent an SOS reporting 4 speedboats heading toward them from Iran, in the vicinity of Dayrestan on Qeshm Island.
We need to send a message to the Iranian speedboats that they are to back off.

Your job is to intercept the speedboats and persuade them to leave the freighters alone with a high speed, low altitude flypast.

Hopefully that will persuade the Iranians to back off. What could possibly go wrong?

Winter morning shenanigans

It's the height of the cold war.

Intelligence has picked up unusual amounts of activity at a Russian frontline airbase to the east.
It looks like SU24s are being loaded up for a mission, and Kutaisi is the first target they might approach, so F15s will go up to take a look, along with a pair of Belgian F16s from Senaki Kolkhi.

A10As & AV8B Harriers are also taking off due to reports of Russian armour movements.

You can fly as either F15s on CAP, or A10s or AV8Bs investigating the armour movements. Whatever aircraft you pick, the AI flight of the same aircraft is deactivated to help keep things in balance.

April 18th - I've also added a few other aircraft to fly, including some on the red team - partly as I'm learning to fly the Mig29...
