This is a good mission to practice your skills using laser guided bombs in coordination with a Reaper drone who is lasing targets for you. The default loadout is 8 X GBU12s, 2 X CBU99s and a litening targeting pod however you can change weapons loadout in the mission editor to whatever you like.

JTAC will automatically designate targets for you at mission start until no more targets are available. There is no need to contact JTAC by radio. JTAC status (available targets) are available via the comms menu, select F10 and JTAC status to see current targeting information.

Beware of SA-19 SAM Tunguska (S6 on RWR) units in the target area. If you remain above 22000 feet until they are destroyed they aren’t a threat.

Litening targeting pod added to default loadout. Use LSS/LST to acquire lased targets on code 1688.

This Mod adds additional UK squadrons to the Logbook, for the British Army, the Royal Navy's Fleet Air Arm, and the Royal Air Force.

Version 2.5.6 (just as sequencing thing, it should work with any 2.5 version) some updated imagery for the logbook and a few new squadrons for FAA in WWII (moderately pointless but...), this is now pretty much complete from my POV, but, if you have squadrons you want included and you have the imagery PM me and I will see what I can do.

I added in a couple of Fictional Squadrons, and the overlooked much to my chagrin 3 Commando Brigade Air Squadron and CHF, and thanks to @Mordants 736 Squadron FAA  I also found 664 and 651 AAC.

Hi DCS fans.

THIS IS A CLEANUP of warheads.lua for DCS World 2.5, and it is compatible with OvGME.


The "warhead.lua" file, obviously well concieved at one time, had been patched too many times... and was becomming too broken to be just "patched", ending up with some weapons completely inneffective !

As it is, this cleanup MOD, gives more REALISM to weapons. Weapons that are not optimized for one kind of target will be unable to destroy it (or at least not with ease). The new functions use MORE REAL DATA. There is NO MORE DOUBLE STANDARD between function (for example between A2A weapons and Bombs or rockets)

For those who don't like it as it is, I've added MODIFIERS FOR QUICKLY MODIFYING DIFFERENT VARIABLES for all warhead

For those who enjoy the flying part as much as the shooting part....

Ferry your aircraft from Tbilisi to Kutaisi. Refuel at Kutaisi then fly to the Stennis for recovery.

This flight will exercise both your IFR flying skills as well as your use of the navigation equipment of your Hornet.  In addition your ability to land aboard the carrier in foul weather will be tested.

There are two hornets available for launch on the Stennis for abbreviated fun play.

Mods required
USN Equipment mod, search this in user files on DCS website

Rename your Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta\Mods\terrains\Caucasus\Kneeboards Folder to kneeboards_orig - hides the Caucasus kneeboard maps.

The mission has all the required maps and plates on your kneeboard, Mission Card, Charts and Case2 diagram, all put together with CombatFlight.

This mission is the 6th part of the series of strikes that were ordered prior to the invasion of Iran beginning with "THE PRELUDE". In the continuing operations to secure the coastal areas of southern IRAN leading up to the planned invasion, an Iranian freight  train loaded with military machinery and supplies including SAM radar equipment has stopped for refueling and minor repairs. A USAF B1 bomber has been dispatched to destroy a tunnel close to the train site thus blocking it's forward movement. Your flight of FA18's  is called to destroy the bridges forward and aft of the train to essentially preventing it from any retreat.<br /><br />

After unpacking this file, you can place the F/A-18C HORNET pit V*.* map into the saved games folder.
...users/[name]/saved games/DCS.openbeta/Liveries/Cockpit_F-18C
If after unpacking the files are not in a folder, please make one in the above mentioned path, and place the files in that folder.
Then in DCS, go to options (settings), select the SPECIAL tab, select F/A-18C and in customized Cockpit select FA-18C HORNET pit V1.8.

UPDATES:
- v.1.1.2: Grey helmet for pilot. ED changed default helmet to white which is incorrect for FiAF, fixed.
- v.1.1.3: Added to USA too for MP purposes.
- v.1.1.4: New helmet texture. Uses the new default helmet texture since old one is bugged.
- v.1.2: Added searchlight (credits Megalax for the texture), captain bars and some other minor tweaks.
- v. 1.2.1: Fixed bort numbers for DCS 2.8.4.
