Russia has purchased multiple USAF aircraft at an Iraqi yard sale. 4 A-10A's and 2 F-15C's are scheduled to be displayed as war trophies at a military parade tomorrow morning. A strike to destroy these aircraft has been authorized. Tonight, you and Chips will conduct that strike.

Deny Putin his prize.

A basic night strike mission against parked aircraft using PP and TOO bombing modes with a Case III landing.

It is my first so feedback is most welcome.

Mission Time: 45 min.

This mission uses the F-14's LANTIRN pod and is on a hot takeoff on the Forrestal since carrier launches no longer work with a cold cockpit. The mission briefing explains how to request targets through the F10 menu. Mission time is about 2 hours. I made this mission for myself to practice long range strikes using the LANTIRN pod. There are 8 randomized ground targets. Targets are given in LAT/LONG format and displayed on the F10 map. This mission was formally set at night but has been altered to day due to poor performance and lighting. Targets have been added to the F10 map because the LAT/LONG in the mission editor is incorrect and inconsistent to the in game map. Jester's LAT/LONG waypoint entry no longer appears to be functioning either

A challenging mission, requiring low level flying over mountains at night. Find and destroy weapon caches across the Georgian border.

4 x KA50 slots available in multiplayer, requiring team work to use flares and search lights to locate items in a town.

You'll need full fuel for this mission.

I've been having fun lately adding voice recordings to missions.  This is a quick nighttime strike in the Hornet with voice overs from the mission commander and another unit.  Fairly straightforward mission, but a couple of surprises along the way.

Mission Brief:
"Good evening, everyone.  We have received intelligence that a high value target is camped out in a mountain valley north of Kutaisi.  The mission tonight is simple: Take out the target.  There's not a lot of maneuvering room in the valley, so Dodge flight, a single F-18 will go in alone armed with rockets.  A single Apache, Springfield flight, will be standing by for additional CAS.  Uzi will be on station over the camp providing forward air control, and will designate targets as needed.  Overlord will provide mission command.  Additional details will be provided after startup."

You will lead a flight of 4xF/A-18C Hornets, launching from USS Stennis at 0500 on a night attack on an Iranian attack boat facility. At Al Minhad descend to 200 FT and fly NOE and EMCON to the target. Stealth is essential for mission success. Zip includes data card, flight plan and intel photos.
