As the war rages on in Lebanon, the United States Navy deployed the Roosevelt Carrier Battle Group to support the UN peacekeeping operations in Lebanon. REQUIREMENTS: Syria Map, F-14 Tomcat, Supercarrier

It is the first full day of the Yom Kippur war, 07 OCT 1973.  IAF aircraft are taking off in support of troops on the ground in Sinai shortly.  They will be faced by units that have had all night to dig in are are under cover of SA-2, SA-3, SA-6, SA-7 and AAA guns.  All your skill will be tested in the missions today.  

So I wanted to make a simple mission where I'd be able to have a fun, not too complicated flight with the F-14B and use the new TARPS reconnaissance pod that we got recently. This is mostly a mission where you takeoff from the Supercarrier in 1988, fly to your waypoints, take photos of suspected Soviet deliveries of T-55 tanks and BMP-2s, (sound effects included) then fly back to the carrier and land. If you perform the mission correctly, you get an idea of the pictures you took right after your plane comes to a stop on the deck of USS Theodore Roosevelt.

Israel is under attack.

It is October 6th, 1973, Yom Kippur.  The most holy day of the year.  Most IDF members are home with family or on leave.  The situation is dire.

Without warning, Egyptian Air Forces destroyed or damaged airfields and military facilities throughout the Sinai.  In what was expected to take days, Egyptian units have breached the sand walls of the canal in mere hours.  Reports indicate massive forces are moving across the Canal and overrunning the Bar Lev Line.

You just came back from an uneventful evening patrol.
We’re in a seven-day truce while the locals celebrate something called TET.

Your mission is to clear the Syrian airspace of all threats.  This is a good mission to practice air to air combat i find.  You can choose between the Mirage F1, F-14B, F-15E, F-16C, M-2000, F/A-18, JF-17, AV-8B N/A, or if your truly crazy, F-5E Air-frames for you and your wing provided you own the module.  Enemy air frames will be random.  There is AWACS available on 252.00.  For some Air frames you can choose to have 1 or 3 wing-men as its currently setup, so check how many there are when selecting depending on how much of a challenge you desire. Once your seen on enemy radar in Syrian territory, they will task all enemy airborne planes to intercept you.  Shoot them all down and come home safe. uploaded 1-25-24 v2.3

F16C air to air mission using the Caucasus map. Fly low level and conserve fuel as you fly through the mountains to your target. Fun mission 30-40 minutes from take off to landing.

The Wardog Squadron escorts OFS Kestrel and two other carriers from the Osean 3rd Naval Fleet, OFS Buzzard and OFS Vulture, as they relocate into the inland Bannion Sea. Shortly before the end of the mission, they are attacked by the Yuktobanian Air Force but fend them off. However, two burst missiles are then launched from the Yuktobanian submarine carrier Scinfaxi, which wipe out most of the VFA-206 and sink the Buzzard and Vulture. Wardog manages to climb to a safe altitude in time and survives, along with Captain Snow. With two carriers gone, Wardog is temporarily transferred to Heierlark Air Base for repairs and refueling and is tasked with escorting all available nuggets from Heierlark back to Sand Island with them.
