1981 Leonid Brejnev, sick, cannot prevent the slow disintegration of USSR. Baltic states secede in july, then the -Baltic Spring- spreads everywhere. In september Georgia takes independence, Armenia and Azerbaijan follow suit. Iran immediately seizes the opportunity to push its pawns, and islamist shiite militias initiate a push to the north, approaching Tbilissi s suburbs by autumn. On Turkish side, the Cyprus conflict left deep scars and, considering both USSRs weakening and NATOs ambiguous attitude towards its conflicting memebers -Turkey and Greece-, the country has decided to leave NATO and evacuate its american airbases by the end of 1980. USA were at first quite virulent, but an expected deal was settled with Turkeys pledge not to support Irans islamic revolution. Acting with complete duplicity, new turkish president initiated its own territorial conquest by invading Georgia in December 1981, committing this country to fight on two fronts.

This is quite a difficult campaign which is uneven on both sides with mixed generations of aricrafts.  Adding to this are insurgents on the hillsides with shoulder mounted stingers.  As well as refugees fleeing to the border.

Originally a campaign to protect refugees, but eventually turning into a long drawn out war of attrition.

This on request by hstheins. I first thought it was a bad idea, but as the Mig-19 is showing some promise (a LOT better now than at release) I think this will be quite enjoyable.

As per request by hstheins. The Mig-15bis has an old, slow spooling jet engine, handles like a brick at low speeds and becomes quite unruly when exceeding a certain speed. Oh and it has the lightest of ordnance loads as well. BUT...apart from the twin 23's it has one BIG ole can opener of a cannon. Now I've tested all missions and they ARE do-able. My first Outremer campaign - now upd ated for the THIRD time. And all current Outremer campaigns have the exact same mission setups. So no quarter is given, no tinkering with the enemies and goals to "help" a certain aircraft type. This campaign will be a good measuring tool to use, YOU will get to decide what aircraft suits your needs best. In a shady campaign se t in some never heard of backwater, far from the usual Tom Clancy blah blah. YES, this is full-on macho, oldschool flying. Danger is doubled and you're never gonna get the upper hand. You will ALWAYS be outnumbered and outgunned. But if you can stomach such conditions, you WILL have fun. NEW GUYS TAKE NOTE: If you're new to the Sabre or DCS, you WILL learn flying this old bird in Outremer. You begin at the deep end right away - but all you need is the right attitude. You will understand once you get strapped in. DIFFICULTY: Tough guy legit

Surprisingly good perfomance fromt the F-5E in Outremer. Massive amount of BOOM you can deliver, especially when considering what a small critter this really is. And it's a LOT more stable and easier to fly than the Mig-21. But it's still oldschool and you can call your self a PILOT if you can manage this campaign with it. Use Winrar to unpack the files.
