The 527th Aggressor Squadron, creatively known as the “Aggressors”, was a key tactical training unit to USAF forces in Europe. Stationed at RAF Bentwaters in the UK and flying the F-16C, the squadron was critical at emulating Soviet threats in the waning days of the Cold War from 1988-1990.

Formed in 1976 out of RAF Alconbury, the 527th TFTAS, under the 10th TFW, initially used the F-5E tigers in “Red Bear” patterns for dissimilar air combat training against NATO forces over East Anglia. With shifts in foreign policy, the unit would relocate to Bentwaters with newer F-16C’s from squadrons located in Germany.

Following their full reassignment to now 12 F-16s, the squadron would resume DACT duties in 1988 hosting a variety of allied squadrons for exercises such as Team Spirit  and Green Flag. The Fall of the Wall in 1989 would spell the end for the unit, as in late 1990 the squadron would be deactivated, its legacy carried forward through to the 527th Space Aggressor Squadron.

The 163rd Fighter Squadron “Blacksnakes" is part of the Indiana Air National Guard’s 122nd Fighter Wing at Fort Wayne ANGB, traces its heritage to the WWII-era 365th Fighter Squadron, re-designated and federally recognized on December 9, 1946 at Stout Field, Indianapolis. Over its history, the squadron has flown the F-51 Mustang, F-80 Shooting Star, F-86 Sabre, F-84F Thunderstreak, F-100 Super Sabre, F-4 Phantom, and F-16 Fighting Falcon. In 1997, it adopted the “Blacksnakes” nickname, replacing “Marksmen.” In 2005, it gained the Theater Airborne Reconnaissance System mission. Transitioning in 2010, the unit flew A-10C Thunderbolt IIs, deploying in 2014 to Afghanistan. Authorized by the FY2023 NDAA, the squadron transitioned back to F-16C/D Block 40s, with aircraft arriving in October 2023. Today, the 163rd FS continues to uphold its legacy of air defense, tactical excellence, and rapid response for state and federal missions.

Formed in 1975, the 378th Tactical Fighter Squadron “Blue Dragons” of the Stafford Air National Guard has long balanced tradition with innovation. Originally flying the F-4E Phantom II, the squadron specialized in maritime strike and precision interdiction, a role that became its hallmark. In the early 2000s, the Blue Dragons transitioned to the F-2A, whose advanced radar, electronic warfare systems, and long-range anti-ship capabilities perfectly suited their mission. As one of the few ANG units equipped for maritime strike, the squadron regularly trains with Osean Naval forces, integrating airpower into coastal and fleet defense operations. While their primary task remains anti-ship warfare and precision strike, the 378th also maintains a robust multirole capability, able to switch seamlessly to air defense or close air support. With their trademark discipline and adaptability, the Blue Dragons continue to safeguard Osean waters and skies while standing ready to deploy abroad.

Based out of Homestead Air Reserve Base, Florida. the 39th Fighter Squadron "Gators" is one of the last remaining dedicated Fighter Squadrons within the Air Force Reserve Command.  Operating the venerable F-16, the Gators have been deployed all over the world, including supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2009.
In 2012 when it became obvious about shortcomings with F-35A Procurement, the Air Force pivoted to obtaining Block 70 F-16's  as a stop-gap measure, which the Gators were one of the first squadrons to achieve IOC with the type, replacing their older Block 42 F-16Cs.

The Squadron was briefly the subject of internet conspiracy theories in 2012 when one of their jets was lost in a training mishap off the coast of Florida. Rumors of a possible defection were dispelled however when the wreckage was recovered a week later.

Today the Gators still operate from Homestead AFRB, helping ensure the safety and security of the United States.

With the rollout of the Osean Lightweight Fighter, the F-16 Fighting Falcon, the then Country of Perbla was one of the first foreign buyers of the fighter. With purchases made in 1983, the Country would be one of the first to receive Block-25 F-16C’s to bolster their historically middling air force that had up to that point been reliant on the F-5E for its Airborne fighter capability. The 401st Fighter Squadron ‘Gallo’ (Rooster) would receive their eighteen F-16 Fighting Falcons in 1984 under the ‘Peace Aztec’ Program. Stationed at Airbase Number 2 outside San Vijo, the squadron participated in the 2011 civil unrest that saw the restructuring of Perbla into Carranza.
Today the 401st Squadron still operates their remaining F-16C Fighters in conjunction with Osean Air Defense Force fighters protecting their respective borders. Most notably in interdiction roles against Adamas fighters to their East and Leasath along their southern border.

At a base nestled deep within Erusea’s arid and treacherous desert terrain lies the 45th Fighter Squadron ‘Desert Vipers’. Flying the venerable F-2A, the 45th FS is renowned for its mastery of desert warfare, low-altitude dogfighting and precision strike operations.

Formed at the height of the Continental War in 2003, the squadron was initially tasked with defending Erusea’s central desert regions from ISAF advances. The harsh conditions and unforgiving environment of the desert honed their skills, earning them the moniker Desert Vipers—lethal and elusive, striking without warning from the scorching sands. The squadron gained fame for daring low-level operations and surprise attacks, using the desert to their advantage. With expertise in both air-to-air combat and ground support, the Desert Vipers are feared for their lethal and unpredictable tactics.

Established after the Belkan War, the 528th IAP ‘Lions’ would not get a chance to earn their stripes until early in the 2010 Circum-Pacific War. forward deployed to Merska Air Base, the Lions were a critical component on early probing attacks against Osean forces in the Solo and Sand Islands. The largest single day of combat they would see was on October 4th 2010, where the Lions and dozens of other squadrons would fly in support of the Yuktobanian Landing operations to take the Sand Island Air Base from the Oseans, in the second wave of the attack, the squadron was unable to stave off the changing tide of the battle and was forced to retreat, though their Vipers were credited with shooting down three Osean F-5’s that were defending the base.

The Lions would rotate back to West Yuktobania, and would only occasionally see combat, not regenerating their losses until well after the war. Today the Lions still operate in the Yuktobanian Air Force and have flown in various exercises since.

Established in 2007 following the dissolution of the Independent States Allied Force, the 156th Fighter Squadron would herald a new age for the now battle hardened Amberian Air Force. Armed with ex-Osean Lend Lease F-16s, the Squadron would set the expectations of what modern equipment could be pushed to in the extremes of Amber.

Thanks to its relatively quick Establishment, the squadron would participate in many counter insurgency operations in conjunction with the newly established IUN-PKF, Though, despite this cooperation effort, that wouldn't stop a brief border clash with San Salvacion to occur in 2015 where Iskander F-16s successfully downed one F-5, though the pilot ejected safely and was repatriated a few days after hostilities ceased.

During the 2019 Lighthouse War, Iskandar was one of the first squadrons to make contact with the Erusean Controlled Arsenal Bird Justice and face heavy casualties.
