This is a mission for up to four players. Focused on night-time operation in adverse weather in the AH-64D. Opportunities for engaging targets for systems and weapons familiarization.
Situation:
Less than a year after its initial invasion of Georgia, Russia has renewed its invasion to claim its previous Soviet state. While their forces from South Ossetia have been stopped so far, the forces moving down from Abkhazia have moved rapidly south.
The US, anticipating the hostilities, has pledged to defend Georgia against the aggression. A rapid response force entered the Black Sea 2 days ago and has reached a staging point 10 miles off the coast. A platoon of Apaches is set to ins ert in to Senaki-Kolkhi through Russian-controlled territory along the coast. The insertion will occur under cover of bad weather to prevent Russian intervention. Targets of opportunity are available along the way, or a direct route to Senaki-Kolkhi is authorized.
Mission:
Depart the Tarawa and make your way towards the coast. Follow the waypoints for targets of opportunity detected by the Georgians. The weather should hinder the enemies' ability to detect you, so you should be able to attack with little resistance. The final destination is Senaki-Kolkhi for follow-on operations.
