ISIS is at the height of its power and is planning to continue its expansion west into rebel-held territory. The US has approved an immediate strike to destroy ISIS forces and disrupt the planned offensive. Depart from Turkey with up to eight people for a low-level transit over ISIS-controlled Syria to conduct a low-level strike while evading Syrian defenses.
Situation:
An informant brought forth information that ISIS leadership is combining their forces from eastern Syria at the abandoned Jirah airfield. They plan to conduct a new offensive against rebel-held Aleppo. Significant personnel and equipment have been stationed at Jirah while the leaders are planning the offensive.
CENTCOM has authorized a strike against the forces stationed there to destroy and disperse the forces. Turkey is supporting the operation with AWACS against potential Syrian air response. Syria may potentially respond to the incursion of their airspace from a non-standard avenue that is being used to reduce tip-off to ISIS.
Mission:
Depart Incirlik with up to eight aircraft. With the support of AWACS, transit low-level into Syria. Be prepared for Syrian air defenses and fighters to contest the incursion. Make a low-level attack run on structures and vehicles at the target airbase. Egress north back to the border before returning to base.
