Israel's #1 enemy is trying to escape Egypt in an escorted chinese cargo. It is vital to take his flight down! Alas, the area is a hornet nest about to wake up. Will the mighty israeli airforce be able to avoid their enemy from scaping?

This is a multi-threading mission. There are several dozens units interacting, so I guess it will depend on the computer. Mi middle-class one moves it fluently, so it shouldn't be a problem.

In spite of its numerous units, the mission is conceived as a single player mission (Colt-1 must give the attack order), but it could be a great multiplayer mission. There is room for many people in many roles, both in F-16 and F-15 airframes (or mig-29, f-16, mirage 2000 and Su-30 if you want to try the red coalition). It would be very easy to creat different roles in the ME, as long as colt-1 is occupied by a human player. If requested, I could prepare it for multiplayer.

This is inspired in one mission of a campaign I'm creating, so every feedback's welcome!

After being the mastermind behind several of the most violent attacks against Israel, Syrian terrorist Youssef Abdel-Hamid, also known as "the Pure," who operated from Egypt, attempts to escape certain death on a plane bound for China. It is unclear how involved the latter is in the recent conflict against Israel or what price are the terrorists paying to keep him safe. However, Israeli intelligence has located the airport from which his transport will depart, guarded by several modern Chinese fighter jets.

The area is heavily protected by various anti-aircraft defenses, including systems such as SAM 10, 11, 2, 3, and 5, in addition to AAA artillery. Moreover, numerous Egyptian F-16 and Mirage 2000 fighter jets stationed at various airports around Cairo, along with a few recently acquired Russian-origin MiG-29s, are expected to appear for intercepting  any aircraft penetrating Egyptian airspace.

Israel has formed a powerful air force consisting of various squadrons of F-16, F-15, and F-4 aircraft with the sole objective of taking down the Chinese force attempting to secure the dangerous Youssef Abdel-Hamid. The government has established his elimination as the highest priority and is therefore willing to deploy numerous resources to achieve this goal.

Multiple groups of F-16 and F-4 aircraft will conduct SEAD (Suppression of Enemy Air Defenses) operations in an attempt to minimize the anti-aircraft threat and help deter the Egyptian fighters to the best of their abilities. Meanwhile, a group of 2 F-16s escorted by 2 F-15s will attempt to sneak to intercept the Chinese transport and its escort. Once the objective is accomplished, all the fighter jets will immediately egress from the area.

Player is Colt-1, the leader of the Venom group consisting of 2 F-16s. They will be escorted by the Eagle-1 group (Uzi1-2). Their mission is to infiltrate through the wall of air and anti-air defenses and take down Abdel-Hamid's Transport (Prize) along with its escort of 4 Su-30 fighter jets. Time is critic so no long start-up can be done.

All Israeli forces will work together to create a corridor through which Colt and Uzi can approach to intercept their target. Speed and coordination are crucial for the success of the mission. Two groups, each consisting of 4 F-16s, Weasel-10 and Weasel-5 (Viper and Springfield), have already departed to infiltrate Egypt from the south to eliminate a SAM-10 and a SAM-5 station, respectively. Weasel 1 and 2 (Ford and Cowboy), also composed of F-16 groups, will attack the SAM-11 and SAM-3 stations, while the veteran Phantom II aircraft (Weasel-3 and Weasel-4, Chevy and Pontiac) will engage the older SAM-2 systems. The last group of F-16s, Dragon (Dodge), will provide air cover against the enemy fighters. Overlord will coordinate the attacks from a distance.

It is vital that all groups (except Weasel-10 and Weasel-5) gather at Waypoint 2. Once they are all together, the player should use the F10 menu to give the green light to start the mission, and everyone will proceed to Waypoint 3. From there, each group will separate to pursue their respective objectives. Therefore, fuel management is of utmost importance. The area is too hot to have a tanker, and once the border is crossed, it no longer makes sense. Fuel must be handled with extreme care as there will be a need to orbit for about 5 minutes before giving the green light for the mission.

It is vital to understand that the sole mission is to bring down Abdel-Hamid's aircraft. All actions must be subservient to this objective. Good luck!
