You will be flying a single ship F-16 Strike mission on an Egyptian Cargo Vessel carrying weapons supplied by Russia. In order to make this strike work an Israeli cargo ship has been ordered to block the Suez canal to hold up the Egyptian Vessel in a place where you are outside the max ranges of nearby SAM systems, as seen in image 3. You are to strike this cargo ship's weaponry using a GBU-24 Paveway at waypoint 3 in order to slow the military progress of Egypt. Once you pass our currently patrolled area of the Peninsula (being around the halfway point of the peninsula) enemy fighters will be sent to either escort you out of the airspace or fire upon you. You are cleared to fire upon any enemy fighters in the area if they pose a threat although it is recommended to retreat and let the F-15s patrolling the peninsula to handle A/A combat. You must also be aware of civilian aircraft operating in the area.

Situation
May 4th 2026 - After Egypt was suspected to be supplying western technology to Russia in exchange for Russian stealth fighter technology, and modern Sam networks, tension began to rise between the US along with Israel against Egypt. The US took satellite photos of Egyptian air bases and found a small number of Su-57 fighters stationed at an Egyptian air base (image 2), although they appear inoperable at the moment. The US ordered Israel to start patrolling the Sinai Peninsula via air. 4 days after the start of the air patrol of the Sinai Peninsula by Israel, an F-15I was intercepted by an Egyptian Mig-29M and escorted out of the Peninsula's airspace causing tensions to be at an all time high between the two countries. Since then Egypts air defense network has increased greatly and the peninsula's airspace has been patrolled by both Israel and Egypt with more close encounters yet no real combat action.
June 8th 2026 - 3 days ago a cargo ship carrying Egypts flag was spotted being escorted through the Black Sea by a Russian Battle Cruiser. Israeli drone photos, taken over the Mediterranean sea, show nuclear materials and more advanced weaponry aboard the vessel. Upon agreement between the US and Israel, a single ship strike has been approved upon the vessel in order to stop the nuclear progression of a new enemy to the western alliance. This strike will be the start of a suspected war between Israel, now being heavily supplied by the US, and Egypt being supplied by Russia.
US intelligence believes this will be a short war as Egypt has not had enough time to build up its military to a competent level during the ongoing tension. It is believed that Israel will be able to reclaim the Sinai Peninsula in a short time span of the war.
