Situation Update
The wind has weakened as Cyclone Dora waned quickly after its landfall and disappeared when it reached Afghanistan. The temperature rose as hot air from the north Indian Ocean prevailed and blew into the Gulf of Oman again. The media continued covering the latest news as the war developed into the 19th day. People gathered in Tehran, Mashhad and Isfahan, protesting against the military regime. The protestors criticized the Iranian army as a puppet of Russia and demanded a legal election of a new government. But the army suppressed the protestors and announced curfews in most of the key cities across the country. Although the Golgohan weapon factory was destroyed in an airstrike on Day 18, the military government has pushed other military manufacturers in the northern part of the country to operate at full production, and announced that its highly enriched uranium is ready to produce a nuclear warhead within two weeks. On the ground, battles resumed after the thunderstorm. The Marines advanced deeper into Bandar Abbas City from both the east and west sides. However, the progress was slow as street combat required carefully clearing and securing each building before advancing further. In the meantime, The Marine Corps 4th and 5th Regiments were also attacking from the northern outskirt of the city, the goal was to cut the city in half and break its defenses. Eight F/A-18C hornet fighter jets, each loaded with eight Mk-82Y air bombs were scheduled to attack those positions along the city's northern ring road.
