"Operation Pontus" is a story driven dynamic DLC campaign that puts you in the seat of the legendary F/A-18C Hornet. As the Commanding Officer (CO) of the VFA-131 (aka "Wildcats”), you will have to plan, design and execute various demanding missions for your squadron, day and night with different weather conditions against an intelligent and adaptive enemy.
Your ship, USS George Washington (CVN-73) has just anchored a few miles out of the Georgian – Turkish border and is ready to take action to put an end to a civil war that threatens to set the whole region on fire.
Your decisions and performance will determine the progress of the campaign, number of missions, enemy activity, allied morale and the final outcome of the war.

Some of the first American airmen to join the air war over Europe were the volunteers of the RAF’s Eagle Squadrons. In 1942 they were transferred to the Mighty Eighth Air Force under the 4th Fighter Group, based in Debden, Essex. The 4th was the first fighter group to penetrate German airspace, the first to escort bombers over Berlin, and led the first shuttle mission from England to Russia. Under the indomitable leadership of Colonel Don Blakeslee, they became the highest scoring unit of the USAAF, destroying 1,016 enemy aircraft in the air and on the ground.

20 years of the War on Terror and the Soviet operations of the 1980s place Afghanistan as one of the most important combat theatres of the past half century. Few war zones have ever seen more A-10C, AH-64D, F-16C, F/A-18C, CH-47F, Mi-24P, Mi-8MTV2, and Su-25 sorties than this.
The entirety of Afghanistan and small portions of neighbouring countries will be available, showcasing our latest map technologies.

The MiG-29 (NATO codename Fulcrum) is a twin-engined, supersonic fighter that can carry up to 4,000 Kg of ordnance on 7 hardpoints. For its primary air combat role, the MiG-29’s standard loadout is two R-27 (AA-10 Alamo) medium-range AAMs and four short-range R-60 (AA-8 Aphid) or R-73 (AA-11 Archer) IR guided missiles. The Fulcrum also has an internal 30mm GSh-30-1 autocannon with 150 rounds.
In the ground attack role, the Fulcrum can be armed with a wide range of conventional bombs and unguided rockets. These include 665 Kg bombs, light 57mm rockets and heavier, specialised rockets such as the S-8, which can penetrate up to 400mm of armour or 800mm of reinforced concrete.
