The Shiite Political Party (SPP) is attempting to seize power in the UAE and has laid siege to Dubai. Their stronghold is located at the SE end of Ras Al Khaimah Intl. They've shutdown international airports in & around Dubai and have positioned heavy artillery to the NW & SW of Al Minhad AFB.
NATO, Emirati & Israeli forces are gearing up to launch counterattacks from Al Dhafra AFB, Al Minhad AFB, & the US Fleet in the Persian Gulf.

The mission can be completed using any jet or helicopter. The following aircraft are selectable during the mission: A-10C II, AV-8B, F-14A, F-14B, F-15E SE4+, F-16C, F/A-18C, F-4E-45MC, JF-17, Su-25T, Su-33, Su-34, AH-64D, Ka-50 III, Mi-24P, OH-58D(R).

***OBJECTIVES***
You only need to complete one of the below missions for success...but you have the option of completing all of them.

---MISSION - SEAD---
Neutralize SAM sites between Al Maktoum Intl & Ras Al Khaimah Intl by desroying half of the vehicles @ each site:
- 2 SA-6 sites @ Al Maktoum Intl
- 2 SA-11 sites neear Dubai Intl
- 2 SA-6 sites @ Sharjah Intl
- 2 SA-11 sites @ Ras Al Khaimah Intl
Each site is marked w/Red Smoke until the entire site is destroyed. The first 3 sorties of allied flights will deploy a total of 48 anti-radiation missiles in an attempt to quickly weaken enemy air defenses.

---MISSION - CLEAR DUBAI---
Eliminate all SPP ground forces between Al Maktoum Intl & Sharjah Intl.

---MISSION - ELIMINATE SPP LEADERS---
They're located in command structures (2 Radio Towers, 2 Ammo Depots & a Command Center) at the SE end of Ras Al Khaimah Intl. Taking them out will halt their ability to coordinate air support.

---MISSION - ESTABLISH AIR SUPERIORITY---
- Provide CAP over Dubai until all enemy aircraft or launch facilities are destroyed.
(Note: It'll take 2.5+ hours for the enemy to launch all of its aircraft)
OR
- Destroy enemy aircraft on the tarmacs before they can launch: MiG-21B's @ Ras Al Khaimah Intl & MiG-29A's @ Khasab.
OR
- Destroy the Command Center & Radio Towers @ Ras Al Khaimah Intl,

***NOTES & TIPS***
- All enemy kills will be recorded in your Logbook as long as you avoid committing fratricide.
- All AI skills are randomized, so the mission will be different each time you play it (i.e. Sometimes, they'll dodge every missile & shoot down enemy planes; other times, they'll fly into every missile & be oblivious to enemy planes.
- Some targets can only be destroyed by you: the SPP buildings @ Ras Al Khaimah Intl; & everything @ Khasab.
- With the presence of enemy fighters & medium range air defenses, accomplishing even the simplest MISSION OBJECTIVES will be challenging to complete on your own.
- SA-11 sites have missile defenses.
- How you choose to play the mission is completely up to you:
- i.e. Provide air cover for allies, so they can focus on objectives, or use them to for cover.
- The mission is considered complete when you hear music accompanied by 1 of the MISSION COMPLETE messages.
- You can choose to continue on until all missions are complete; just make sure you equip NVG's after dark.
- The intro music can be replayed at any time during the mission using the F10 Radio menu option. Best used for dramatic takeoffs.
- If taxiing to parking to rearm, avoid numbered spaces as allied fighters may spawn there.
- Damaged allied fighters that land @ airfields will respawn about 10 minutes after landing & taxiing to a parking space. The same goes for wrecked aircraft that survive crashing in the field.
- You can repair & rearm @ Al Minhad AFB, but capable fighters should only refuel @ tankers SW of Al Maktoum Intl. Survey the area before trying to do either. Enemy fighters will not hesitate to takedown easy targets.
- There are no dedicated CAP flights, so all aircraft must defend themselves against enemy fighters.
- Due to AI behavior @ airfields & slow taxi speed, they'll respawn while still airborne when within 5 miles of their point of origin.
- Lastly, during startup, ensure you rearm before starting alignment or after it's complete...HAPPY HUNTING!

- A complete overhaul of the original mission to get it working properly after recent updates.
- Since recent update, M.O.O.S.E. respawning of aircraft stopped working, so all AI aircraft spawns were manually input.
- All carrier-capable aircraft will takeoff from the carriers.
- AI aircraft will respawn when within 5 nm of their point of origin (PO), except helicopters which will respawn when within 2 nm of their PO.
- Overhauled all aircraft waypoints to ensure they engage enemy units.
- Added a few more SAM sites & added 2 more mission objectives.
- Armed first 3 waves of allied fighters with anti-radiation missiles.
- The mission is action-packed
- Changed AI AH-64D's to Ka-50III's due to failed engagements.
- Adjusted static objects at a few airfields for better emersion.
- Changed mission description to suggest that refueling of capable aircraft only be done @ tankers.
- Made changes to the mission briefing & mission objectives.
- Adjusted most skins of aircraft to modded skins (default skins will be used if you don't have the mods installed).
- Changed mission start time to 1630, so it should be possible to complete most mission objectives before nightfall.
- Added/Adjusted AI flights to ensure proper mission progression.
- Added additional enemy ground units for use of cluster munitions.
- Adjusted positions of some SAM sites for added difficulty.

- Added an additional flight of AV-8B's
- Players should now feel they're actually providing support rather than spearheading the mission
- Decreased some AI groups' speeds after takeoff to allow players more time to join up for formation flight to the AO

- Changed time of day to 0600, because carrier-based AI aircraft stopped taking off and landing on the carrier after nightfall for some odd reason.
- Moved 2 AI F-16 spawns to Sas Al Nakheel to minimize the amount of time all aircraft marshalled before landing.
- Moved AWACS & Tanker spawns to Abu Dhabi Intl for the same reason & to get them airborne earlier in the mission.
- Moved player F-15E & JF-17 spawns to Al Bateen & added static objects to make it feel lively.
- Added an alternative way to stop AI air reinforcements by destroying all fighter aircraft on the tarmacs @ Ras Al Khaimah Intl & Khasab.
- The # of aircraft on those tarmacs will decrease as respective aircraft launch.
- Adjusted AI F-16 behavior to target airfields in order from South to North.
- Adjusted AI F-18 behavior to engage targets around Dubai Intl first as they're the only aircraft armed with standoff weapons to deal with the medium range SAMs.
- Adjusted allied AI behavior to force them to gain altitude before engaging targets.
- Adjusted positions of ground units to give players more opportunities to employ cluster munitions.
- Corrected the frequencies of some aircraft that were wrong.
- Adjusted spawn times of some aircraft to allow for a more lively sky on players' initial takeoffs.
- Changed loadouts of AI AH-64D's to use AGM-114L's to make engagements more fluid.
- Removed 1 smoke effect from Al Minhad AFB to improve FPS in that area.
- Shortened the racetrack of the carrier fleet to 40 nm.
- Changed Tanker holding pattern, altitude & speed from circling around 15k ft @ Mach 0.5 to flying a 15 nm racetrack around 24k ft @ Mach 0.6 closer to the battlefield.
- Changed MiG-21B loadouts to 2 semi-active radar missiles & 4 heat seekers.
- Removed all external jammers from AI fighters.
