The mission is all about air to ground combat, as well as deployment of troops to dedicated landing zones.

This is a helicopter oriented multiplayer mini campaign comprised of 6 missions, up to 10 player slots, designed to be run by a host/game master (refer to additional readme in resources folder), inspired by the Soviet Afghan War. This campaign has only been sparsely playtested.
Also included are a few powerpoints specific to Hind operations in mountainous terrain and multicrew CRM notes.

Missions are independent and unrelated chronologically. They may be completed in any sequence with no effect on subsequent missions. However, missions are designed according to the order below with increasing complexity and difficulty. Dependencies also listed below.

The US Saipan Expeditionary Force has turned north and is prepared to attack with all three divisions on line. The Army 27th Infantry Division is in the center tasked to clear out Death Valley, the most rugged and well-defended route. There are steep cliffs on the west side of the valley and a long high ridge (Purple Heart Ridge) along the east boundary. The Japanese are dug into the area with artillery, armor, mortars and machineguns. You are a flight leader in the 318th Fighter Group at Aslito Field and you are about to take off on a Close Air Support mission.

Operation Varsity is a heavily randomized DEAD and CAP mission inspired by "Flicker of Hope" from Ace Combat Zero.  There are 3 flights of C-130s who have a town each to drop their paratroopers at.  Clearing the enemy SAMs and AAA from their path is crucial to their success, while also protecting them from enemy fighters.  Enemy aces may even show up to gatecrash the party and keep you on your toes!  You're not in the fight alone, however; you can call in support from a variety of allied flights if you need the extra muscle to win the battle.

The mission also scores your kills and success level, and gives you a ranking on completion.  

The mission has options to customize the amount and strength of the enemy both on the land and in the air, even for inexperienced mission editor users.  Check the .pdf quick guide included in the zip for further details!

In-game kneeboard installation: Decompress the .zip file in C:/Users/[Your username]/Saved Games/DCS/Kneeboard
If you can't find a "Kneeboard" folder, create it.

DISCLAIMER: It is highly advised to be already familiarized with the aircraft's cockpit in order to follow the steps properly. These checklists aren't, by any means, intended to emulate those in real life. They were created as a simplified, straight-forward way of carrying out procedures in Digital Combat Simulator World.
