Mission: Operation House Call

Overview: Four A-4 Ayits will fly a night strike against Marj Ruhayyil Air Base in Syria.  The entire flight will be flown at low level to reduce the possibility of detection and increase response time of threats.  This is a psychological strike intended to change the dynamic on the Golan front.  F-4s and MIIIs will serve as diversions to the North West of the Golan Heights.

It is early morning on October 8th, 1973.  The mission is to hit Suez Stadium just before sunrise.  It is being used as a staging point for Mi-8 helos to pick up troops and supplies to be ferried cross the Suez Canal.

It is the first full day of the Yom Kippur war, 07 OCT 1973.  IAF aircraft are taking off in support of troops on the ground in Sinai shortly.  They will be faced by units that have had all night to dig in are are under cover of SA-2, SA-3, SA-6, SA-7 and AAA guns.  All your skill will be tested in the missions today.
