After the Yuktobanian Air Force failed to destroy the OFS Kestrel, the Wardog Squadron returned to Sand Island Air Force Base. However, Sand Island was unexpectedly attacked by Yuktobanian forces, and all pilots were scrambled to defend against the attack.
As Wardog Squadron member, you are tasked to defend the base. Destroy all the bombers before they hit the runway. You will have the rest of your squadron and the base's air defenses to assist you.
Second mission in a series set in the fictional nation of Hamirah (set on the Syria map). In this mission you have to aid in the defence of the strategic town of Ein Elkorum. Without your help the hastily organised ground defence is sure to fail.
An extensive update of a mission I posted previously: Traded unrealistic bombs for actual rockets, used the new weather features to provide the actual snow storm. Excellent Banff Mossie skins are now available at User Files: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3328061/ and https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3328060/
A raid in bad weather to sink a German ship carrying a huge cargo of coke, an essential material used in the manufacture of steel. The raid was led by Wing Commander Jean Maurice Guedj, a French pilot on his 150th combat mission of the war.
The Banff Strike Wing was unaware that two squadrons of FW-190A8s had very recently been moved to a Luftwaffe airfield close to Leirvik. The RAF did not earmark any Mosquitos for high cover and they had no escort. The FWs responded to the RAF raid and the result was the second largest air battle of the war over Norway.
Early Russian skins for the Su-27. 'Roughmets' by Wyvern613 can also be downloaded from the User Files section of this site, as can the Reshade presets I prepared to simulated NVG and improve graphics.
This is a submission for the B-17G Livery Competition. It includes two skins, one a detailed "Lassie Come Home" and a second one plain and without the distinguishing markings of "Lassie Come Home" and named "322nd BS - 91st BG_LG Plain". Speculars are used but I will change to roughmets if the developers decide to upgrade the B-17 to PBR.
The detailed skin depicts Serial number 42-31673, a B-17G-25-BO, code: LG-C, nicknamed "Lassie Come Home". The plane flew with the 322nd Bombardment Squadron of the 91st Bombardment Group and is depicted with 69 combat missions.
