This F-86A Sabre was allocated to Col Francis "Gabby" Gabreski during his first tour of duty in Korea
as C.O. of the 4th Fighter Wing.
Gabreski had been the highest scoring American ace of the ETO in WW2 and would go on to become
an ace in Korea with 3.5 kills
