In the mid 90s - early 2000s the CF-18's in RCAF service removed the "Armed Forces" markings around the roundel, with Canada Federal Identity Program (FIP) markings which included the Canada wordmark along with "Canadian Forces" behind a partial flag, known as Canada Post markings.

Several CF-18s in service around this time had the night interception light blanked out, which is what I've chosen to represent here.

Represented are 409, 410, 416, 425, 433 and 441 Squadrons. This pack requires my common folder found here: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3331148/

Republic P-47D Thunderbolt 'Schmaltzie/Mercedes' of the 65th Fighter Squadron, 57th FG based in Corsica and Italy 1944-45.
Piloted by Lt. F. J. Middleton (pictured standing on the wing root of 'Little Bunny'), the crew chief was S/Sgt. L. Walker and the armourer was Cpl. S. Bauer.

P-47D 'Frigid Midgit'. Pilot 2nd Lt. Jack Hallett 394 FS 367FG St. Dizier France March 1945
The 'natural metal' of the wing sections was due to repair after 2nd Lt. Hallett crashed inbetween two trees after attempting to 'buzz' three of his Squadron who were crossing a small swing-bridge on their way to the airfield at St. Dizzier. He was test-flying a Thunderbolt as the 367th had only just received three of them for assessment prior to being assigned them to replace their P-38 Lightnings.
As Hallett himself said of the Thunderbolt (after only 45 minutes in it), "When you pulled back the stick in a P-38 the plane would go up whereas the P-47 had a much higher wing-load... I pulled back on the stick and the attitude changed but the altitude did not!". As he passed over the guys on the bridge he managed to crash the brand-new unit inbetween two trees. Hence the bare aluminium wings, fitted as a replacement for the ones he'd irrepairably damaged!
True story.

114th Fighter Squadron "Eager Beavers" F-15EX

The 114th Fighter Squadron (114 FS) is a unit of the Oregon Air National Guard 173d Fighter Wing located at Kingsley Field Air National Guard Base, Klamath Falls, Oregon. The 114th is equipped with the F-15C Eagle.

In 2020 the USAF announced for the Oregon Air National Guard (OR ANG) to be one of the first units to receive the F-15EX 'Eagle II' to replace their F-15C aircraft, however on May 25th 2023 it was announced that the 173rd Fighter Wing would become the Formal Training Unit for the F-35A in lieu of the F-15EX.

This skin is a "What if" the 173rd, and by extension 114th Fighter Squadron, Formally adopted the F-15EX, based on current aircraft markings.
