The Raven One campaign for the F/A-18C Hornet is based on the bestselling novel of the same title. This campaign was developed with the active participation of author Kevin Miller and Vincent "Jell-O" Aiello, host of the Fighter Pilot Podcast. Both are retired U.S. Navy Hornet pilots, each with over 3,000 career flight hours and numerous overseas deployments.
The campaign faithfully recreates sorties from the book, while adding additional ones related to the action, for a total of 15 immersive, fully voiced-over missions. Each script was carefully checked by Kevin and Vincent to ensure the most realistic experience available in DCS.
Finally, the campaign utilizes innovative solutions, making in-game AI more responsive and predictive. It will also have a limited save-game capability during the campaign gameplay, as some missions may take two or more hours to complete.

Some of the first American airmen to join the air war over Europe were the volunteers of the RAF’s Eagle Squadrons. In 1942 they were transferred to the Mighty Eighth Air Force under the 4th Fighter Group, based in Debden, Essex. The 4th was the first fighter group to penetrate German airspace, the first to escort bombers over Berlin, and led the first shuttle mission from England to Russia. Under the indomitable leadership of Colonel Don Blakeslee, they became the highest scoring unit of the USAAF, destroying 1,016 enemy aircraft in the air and on the ground.

DCS: Black Shark 3 is a further development of the well-known Black Shark and Black Shark 2 projects, which are dedicated to the Russian Ka-50 attack helicopter.
The Ka-50 is the world's only single-seat coaxial combat helicopter. It can effectively perform anti-tank missions, provide close air support and hit point targets on the battlefield with a wide range of weapons.
The AH-64 was first deployed in 1986 and some 2'400 have been delivered. The AH-64D served as the backbone of the U.S. Army attack helicopter force since 2003. Based on the AH-64A, the “Delta” version is a tandem-crewed helicopter with the pilot in the back seat and the co-pilot/gunner (CP/G) in the front. Armed with a 30mm Chain Gun under the nose, Hellfire missiles and 2.75” rockets on the stub wings, the AH-64D proved its mettle in Iraq and Afghanistan against a wide array of threats.
