My first time editing / making a livery for DCS World

Been wanting a livery based on the 80's TV Show "Blue Thunder"
Theres were some skins offered by the mod community, including the livery offered by Home Fries and Sofer, but I wanted a cleaner look.
Then i also happened to see a youtube video showing an SA341 at the HAI Heli-Expo at Anaheim (SA341F2 N341GW) which featured a Gazelle with a really cool tail rotor paint job.
I decided to combine the "cool-ness" of both the Blue Thunder Gazelle and the HAI Heli-Expo Gazelle and make my own custom based on this.

Please forgive, i am new to livery creation. I still don't know how to deal with roughmets files or when the SA342 crashes into pieces, was just happy i managed to achieve what i achieved.

China recently unveiled the J-15T, a carrier and catapult capable flanker. On paper, this may be the single most capable Naval Fighter in service today. More importantly to me, it looks damn good. There is going to be a flight demo at Zhuhai in a few days. This Skin features custom Roughmets, custom afterburners, custom engines, a fully custom nose (which i spent too much time on), some custom paint for weapons, and more custom details which you can also find on my skins that were added to the game recently. With the immediate threat of Ulysses over, but the spectre of war looming, the Government of Ugellas sought to improve its Military considerably in 1998. Making a deal with the newly formed Gründer industries, the Ugellasian Air Force upgraded their 24 Su-27 Flankers to a standard that would more align with their FCU Allies. Better Avionics, Weapons upgrades and the ability to field precision strike weapons with underslung Targeting pods put the Su-27UG A cut above its counterparts. However, the upgrades were not fully implemented in 2003 when the Eruseans marauded across the country. The 6th Fighter Squadron "Black Spiders" was deployed to hold the line at all cost. For hours the pilots fought a desperate losing battle of never ending sorties and precision strike missions relying on ground spotters or other aircraft to mark their targets. Eventually all was for not when the military was forced to retreat and the Government capitulated under Erusean rule.

There are a number of photos of this machine, taken near Prague in April/May 1945, pilot unknown. There are also a number of interpretations of the color scheme ranging from: (1) all green (RLM 81) to (2) a brown and green pattern on the fuselage with all green wings, to (3) a brown-green pattern on the fuselage and wings. Apparently the Erla factory started painting their 109s in some combination of these patterns as the end drew near. The green-brown schemes result in a low contrast pattern that's difficult to pick out in B&W photos, hence the different interpretations of the same plane from different sources.

The plane was essentially brand new and was most likely grounded the majority of the time so weathering will be minimal.

In this small mission you fly the MiG-21Bis. You navigate with distance, heading and speed (Dead Reckoning).

There is the possibility to use RSBN at three waypoints. This allows you to correct a slight drift or inaccurate navigation.

In short, you fly at the given speed and maintain the correct heading. Then you should be at the correct position at the time noted and turn to the next waypoint.

There will be a message when you make an appropriate pass.

The mission has Arabic voice-overs, English text messages and the briefing pictures in the kneeboard.

The aircraft found in front of the hangar at Prague-Kbely airport in the end of war comes from the production series 152xxx produced in Erla factory in Leipzig. The fuselage and wings were probably spray painted in RLM 81/82 colors even though some researchers incline towards a single color camouflage variation of the wings sprayed in RLM 81. The wing lower surfaces were not painted at all with the exemption of parts coming from subcontractors which were painted in RLM 76. The engine cowling, coming from a different airframe, is camouflaged in RLM 74/75/76 colors. Of the serial number painted on the vertical tail surface only first three digits (152) and the last one (6) are legible. I filled them with randomly selected numbers.

Submission to DCS Mi-24P skin contest November 2024.
This is a Livery depicting a German Democratic Republic (GDR) Mi-24P, No. 361, C/N: 340-332 of Kampfhubschraubergeschwader 5 (KHG-5) circa 1989.

In December 1989, 12 Mi‑24P were delivered. This made the GDR the last member state of the Warsaw Pact to receive Mi‑24s with modern 9M114 anti-tank guided missiles. The GDR was the only operator of Mi‑24Ps outside the Soviet Union in the Warsaw Pact.

C/N: 340-332 was delivered 30Dec1989 to Basepohl helicopter base 140 kilometer north of Berlin.

Post unification it was re-marked as Luftwaffe 96+42 and served Oct 1990 thru Sep 1994.

Then transferred to the Hungarian Air Force, storage at Szentkirályszabadja May 1995 then Szolnok. Dec2017-Jan2019. Overhauled by 419th Aircraft Repair Plant (419 ARZ), a subsidiary of Rostec`s Russian Helicopters holding and changed Reg No. to 331 at 86th "Szolnok" Helicopter Base, Hungary.

Taliban captured Afghanistan Air Force Mi-24 1996    

Includes historical weathered yellow scheme, pilots with mustaches, 2 digit numbers and gray exhaust IR suppressors

Because there are no decal changes these will work as Afghan Air Force planes too. Pilots usually just switched sides to whoever was in control when regime got changed or they defected so there is no need to draw long beards for these guys anyway. Idea here is to allow creation of scenarios for both AAF and Insurgents with planes that were historically actually flown or could have been flown by both sides during late 80's war period and 90's

When you fly an aircraft in DCS after leaving it for a while, it is difficult to remember startup procedures, navigation, weapons usage, HOTAS mapping, etc. And if you mainly fly VR, you can't even fly with the manual next to you. This is why I created a summary of all the procedures as kneeboard pages. I included a ready-to-use PNG version and the original multi-layered photoshop version, so you can adjust them if needed. Included is also the VR friendly Virpil HOTAS mappings I use.

Escort ground forces into the village of Hyperabad and provide air support as enemy threats pop up. This mission should take 45 minutes or so to complete. Stick to the waypoints, at least up to steerpoint three. The mission will progress based on triggers. You'll have a couple of triggers pop up on the F10 Radio Menu, pay attention to them and activate them timely. Other F10 radio options will pop up, they are help for you but not necessary for mission completion. Good luck!

Established in 1960, the Schwarzritter squadron has been a long-standing aspect of Belkan air policy. Flying the notorious MiG-21, Affectionately referred to the Belkan crews as “Der Bleistift”, the Belkan word for pencil due to the Aircrafts long narrow fuselage. The 74th TFS’ mission was primarily interception, interdicting any foreign aircraft that strayed into Belkan Airspace. The Squadron would be one of many to see action during the Recta Conflict in 1970, which saw them come out relatively unscathed, only losing a pair of machines and only one pilot. They would learn from this experience and when the Belkan War broke out in 1994, they were honed and ready.

The Squadron would participate in hundreds of combat sorties against Coalition forces during the war, downing dozens of Allied aircraft and even producing a handful of aces from its ranks.

Following the end of the war, the Squadron would remain active, operating today out of Hertzog Air Base in South Belka.

Livery for the FA/18C Hornet for a fictional squad I created, the "Adamastores", a monster of portuguese mythology. I also created a fictional patch with the motto, "Faremos d'improviso tal castigo", which is the threat the Adamastor made to the portuguese sailors.

Its my first livery so I hope you enjoy :)

The faded paint job of the shark-mouthed Mi-24 helicopter belonged to the 1st Brigade of the Ukrainian Army Aviation. The helicopter has the standard paint job of the USSR Army Aviation and painted over the stars with the Ukrainian Air Force roundel on top. This Brigade and its helicopters previously took part in the war in Afghanistan and the liquidation of the consequences of the nuclear accident at the Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant.

In this variant of my training map on the Caucasus, the Tbilisi ‘AirRace’ is available for multiplayer in addition to the AirAssault training. The AirAssault training with one instructor and two trainee Hueys comprises seven tasks that introduce new Huey pilots to the possibilities of the Huey. CSAR, CTLD and Zeus are installed. For the ‘AirRace’ it is important that only one of the 4 triggered aircraft (2x UH-1 & 2x SA-342L) may be on the race track at any one time. I couldn't get it triggered any other way. The spectator helicopters on standby do not interfere with the stopwatch. Info on the kneeboard...

SITUATION : Nous sommes le 22 avril 2018, il est 06H25 LT. Vous venez de décoller de la piste de fortune (aménagée spécialement) de TALISMAN (voir carte). Hier, vous avez neutralisé la patrouille de 2xMiG-29A en alerte sur Deir ez Zor. Selon un renseignement ROHUM vérifié et fiable, le N°2 de ADYAQLA, une organisation terroriste internationale, doit se rendre aujourd’hui de Haditha (Ouest Irak) vers un lieu secret, proche de l’aéroport de Sayqal (38 NM au NE de Damas). Un de nos satellites a repéré ce matin, à 2h00, un convoi suspect correspondant à la cible sur une route dans l’Est de la Syrie, en provenance d’Irak. Si l’objectif est confirmé, ce haut responsable ne doit pas atteindre la région de Sayqal. Cette opération est TOP SECRET, et est supervisée par la CIA et la DGSE, en collaboration avec la NSA et la DRM.
