Charles E. Weaver - Born on July 30, 1923, in Detroit, Michigan. He served with the Mighty Eighth Air Force; stationed in Leiston, England, he was with the 362nd Fighter Squadron, 357th Fighter Group. Flying a series of P-51 Mustangs, Capt. Charles E. "Chuck" Weaver achieved Ace status and was awarded The Distinguished Flying Cross (one Oak Leaf Cluster), The Air Medal (fifteen oak Leaf Clusters) and The French Croix de Guerre (Palm).
