This mission is a toned down version of the normal Kola A2A map I’ve uploaded in that the enemies are earlier air-frames such as the Mig-15bis, Mig-21, Mig-19 ect.  This mission is designed for the smaller and older planes in DCS you can fly the C101-CC, Mig-15bis, Mig-19P, Mig-21Bis, MB-339A, L-39ZA, Mirage F1-CE, Mirage F1-EE, Mirage F1-BE, F-5-E3, F-86F, and F-4E-45MC. The Phantoms and Mirages may be a bit overkill for the enemies at hand but feel free to change load-outs. This mission focuses on air to air combat but one or 2 of the airframes focus on ground attack. Recommend installing mods in description to play as intended.

In this first mission in the Hornet/Tomcat focussed missions, we begin our campaign to force Tropico to capitulate, and end their harassment of other free Caribbean nations.

Our tasking for todays mission is the destruction of Tropicos older, but threatening carrier group, sheltering and re-supplying inside a small archipeligo.

See the supplied PDF briefing cards for more information, and check your kneeboards for supplementary data. There is music at different parts of the mission, if you'd like that off, be sure to select it via the F10 menu at mission start!

Formed in 2004, and placed under the command of former San Salvacion Air Force officers, the 178th Fighter Squadron “Swordsmen” was an integral part of the Independent States Allied Force’s ground support infrastructure when taking back the Usean continent from Erusean control.

Flying donated A-4E Skyhawks, the Swordsmen would focus almost exclusively on Close-air-support of ISAF Ground units during the push through the northern lands of Usea, starting at St Ark and moving westward until reaching San Salvacion. The unit would not participate in further incursions into Erusea, and would be disbanded in 2006 following the dissolution of ISAF.

Today the Aircraft flown by the 178th still exist within Museums dedicated to the conflict, or have been relocated to boneyards in Usea.

Hey awesome DCS Brothers & Sisters, should take you under an hour & I would difficulty rate this around 6/10, Enjoy.
11:00 hrs Ford 1-1 You've arrived to the AO via the Red Sea & are Angels 14 over Suez City & teyou'll be heading North to the Suez Canal. Your WP-1 is over Kibrit & 45 miles ahead are your WP-2, WP-3 & WP-4 & these 3 are set to Min Alt along the Suez Canal road. We've been monitoring a 10 Unit column heading Nth along the Suez & it looks like they are going to Deploy at a FARP a mile from your WP-4. The column consists of 3 x Tanks, 1 x APC, 2 x Technicals & 4 x Trucks & will arrive at their FARP in approx 35 mins from your mission start time. There is also a enemy Black Shark following the column as a Guard but more of a concern is an "Ace" SU-33 Flanker-D fighter loaded with 2 x short range Infrared guided Archer missiles & 2 x medium range R-27 Alamo missiles & he is "IN HOT" from the North to your location immediately from mission start. Russia has finally crossed the final line.  We are immediately beginning a mission to clear the airspace above the Kola Peninsula. Your task is simple, shoot down as many planes as you and your wing can then come home alive. Feel free to choose from any of the air-frames available.
Highly recommend adding mods in description to play as intended.

SBIRS - or the Space Based Infra Red System - is a highly secretive US unit that pinpoints the locations of ballistic missile sites across the globe. Normally its intelligence is reserved for the Five Eyes intelligence community but since Russia's launch of their near-hypersonic Oreshnik missile against Ukraine, it has been sharing relevant intelligence of probable launch locations. Your mission will be to destroy a mobile missile site deep behind enemy lines. This is best played as 2-player co-op but can also be enjoyed single-player.

You will fly as a F16 or Mig29, self-escorting package. By the time you spawn into the mission, you are approaching the Russian coastline and Russian Interceptors are already airborne. You will turn your radar off and fly below 5,000ft to avoid being detected and use the natural valleys of the mountains to mask your whereabouts from Early Warning Radars and SAM sites. If you break 5,000ft, Interceptors will converge on your location and SAMs will engage
