Hi guys, I'm back with my new round of improvements to the GAU-12 in the Harrier. This time made for 2.7!
OUTDATED. 2.7.4 VVM OCCLUSION FIXED BY RAZBAM
Chiefly, this mod fixes the pipper elevation for the GAU-12. I provided RAZBAM with a perfect value on the pipper pre-2.7 and they did not take my advice. So I have developed V2 of the pipper elevation fix. The gun pipper is dead accurate as long as you are within the default pipper range. I am happy to take suggestions for further tuning of the pipper as I am not a SME.
In addition to this, currently, the VVM shows on the AG Gun page. This isn't good. When you try to put your gun pipper on a target, the VVM inherently blocks out your image. Like I said, this is bad.
I attempted to simply occlude the VVM (AND steerpoint arrow) behind the pipper (as far as I know this is how it works in real life) however, my small brain could not manage it. Therefore, this lua mod *completely* occludes the VVM and steerpoint arrow from the AG Gun page. Still a worthy improvement in my opinion.
Install: place AG_Base_no_vvm.lua into DCS World OpenBeta\Mods\aircraft\AV8BNA\Cockpit\HUD\indicator\AG, then overwrite AG_Page_01.lua at the same location.
