This is quite a difficult campaign which is uneven on both sides with mixed generations of aricrafts.  Adding to this are insurgents on the hillsides with shoulder mounted stingers.  As well as refugees fleeing to the border.

Originally a campaign to protect refugees, but eventually turning into a long drawn out war of attrition.

(S/NFD) The HAVE ARMCHAIR series of evaluations is designed to investigate the tactical capabilities of the Russian MiG-29A aircraft, the new R-60 Infra-Red Air to Air Missile and the upgraded Russian helmet mounted display when used against front line USAF and USN fighter aircraft.

A mission you can run either solo or with friends to practice air combat.  It is meant for getting into the action quickly and resetting quickly so all aircraft are airstart so you can get many fights in over a short period of time.  You can fly any air superiority fighter in DCS (essentially anything with a dedicated air to air radar).  If you want to practice with a specific weapons loadout you can land at your nearby airbase to refuel/repair/rearm.  AWACS can also be called up so you can get bogey calls and can practice using datalink (for those aircraft that support it).  The DCS module Supercarrier is now included.

A mercenary company has been contracted to demonstrate upgrades to Ethiopian L-39C aircraft. A high-level general is in attendance, so this is a great opportunity to improve our clout. Demonstrate your skills in a display of pilot skill and weapons employment.

With the rise of peer states, it is expected that stealth technology will soon become a greater threat to the Carrier Battle Group.

In order to aid future planning to counter this threat, The USN is evaluating how well its airborne radar systems can search for, detect and engage stealth aircraft.

You will lead a section of F-14B Tomcats over the NTTR in a simulated fleet defence role, protecting a mock-up of a Nimitz-class aircraft carrier located in Lake Mead, Nevada. You will provide BarCAP within WP 2 and 3. You will have the assistance of an E-2D Hawkeye.

Red Air will attempt to breach your defences. Your mission is to locate and neutralise the strike aircraft.

Any direct hit on the carrier will be considered a win for Red Air.
