Welcome to Sedlo's Carrier Landing Practice Mission!

Required Modules: DCS F/A-18C Hornet AND the DCS Supercarrier.

This mission will help you practice Case 1 Landings on the Super Carrier!

The mission starts off in Active Pause and it's important that you do not touch any controls (HOTAS, keyboard, mouse) until the warning message disappears.

While it's in Active Pause, the mission will automatically configure your TACAN, ILS, MFDs, Gear, Flaps and Hook for the landing.

When the simulation unpauses, you will find yourself about 4 miles back in the landing configuration.  Get on speed as soon as you can.

If you want to get graded and LSO support, contact the carrier inbound right away.  You won't have to call the see you at 10, but you DO have to call the ball around 3/4 of a mile.

For several days, separatist rebels, backed by Russian Special Forces and GRU operatives have been in control of several Georgian villages in the northern part of the country. The operation to retake the hamlets begins today, as friendly ground forces begin to sweep West to East with the goal of routing the insurgents.

Today’s mission will be an on-call close air support mission to support Georgian and NATO ground force in retaking the village of Iskari. We will likely be tasked with destroying a fortified house on the west side of the town itself, so the jets are loaded with MK-82 and rockets.

Last night, a Georgian weapons depot was attacked by Russian back South Ossetia separatist forces, and a number of weapons systems were stolen, including APCs, radar guided AA vehicles and munitions.  Intelligence suggests these purloined assets will be moved East back into South Ossetia.

You are the lead pilot of Colt 5 flight of 2 F-5Es based at Kutaisi Airbase in northern Georgia.  Colt 5 is sitting alert ready to support NATO and Georgian ground forces.

1.  Unlimited fuel for wingman -  Script added so when wingman's fuel is below 50% internal tanks, the fuel level is frozen.  No more wingmen running out of fuel during a mission due to AI behaviour.  (If they use the tanker, the fuel will go to 100% and stay there).

2.  Adjusted some triggers and scripts for better gameplay.

3.  Changed version numbering to be similar to DCS version numbering.

Last night, a Georgian armoury was attacked by Russian backed separatist guerillas and a number of heavy weapons, including APCs, ZSU-23 Shilkas, were stolen. Intelligence suspects that the stolen armour is heading east in order to escape into South Ossetia. Your job is to provide close air support in the hunt for the stolen weapons.
