The free Caucasus map covers the territory of the eastern Black Sea coast, including the southern regions of Russia, Kuban, Caucasus Range, western Georgia, Abkhazia, Adjara. The length of the map is more than 720 km from Anapa to Tbilisi. There are 21 airfields on the map, including international Sochi-Adler, Mineralnye Vody and Tbilisi-Lochini. The Caucasus comprises all European landscapes from sea beaches and subtropics, through to mountain ranges to steppes and forests. The highest point on the map is Mount Elbrus with a height of 5600 meters.
Since ancient times, wars of influence over the Black Sea took place in this territory. In the 20th century, fierce battles of the Second World War were fought in the Kuban and the Northern Caucasus region. Modernity was marked by armed conflicts in Abkhazia and South Ossetia.
The map of the Caucasus allows you to realise many realistic and hypothetical military operations that depend only on your imagination.

Toward the middle of the year, the security situation in the world continued to deteriorate. The three superpowers continue to negotiate with each other but remain on an aggressive course.
Although you and your colleagues achieved great success at the beginning of the year, and the situation has calmed down, especially in the south of Georgia around Batumi, the overall condition remains tense.
The overall situation remains very complex and complicated. The rebels within the Georgian army, who are fighting the moderate central government and seeking a violent reunification with the former Georgian regions of Abkhazia and South Ossetia, are weakened but not defeated.

In the fall of 2015, the battles of the Syrian Civil War between the rebels and the Syrian government forces continue intensely. The involvement of several foreign powers, ISIS, and Hezbollah in the conflicts further escalates tensions. The tension among major superpowers is also on the rise. However, civilians suffer the most. Millions have been forced to leave their destroyed homes. Civilian targets are constantly under bombardment. The USS Theodore Roosevelt, with its Strike Group, is on its way to the region with the aim of establishing a no-fly zone over the western parts of Syria to prevent attacks on civilians.

It is the 14th of January 1979. The Black Jacks 4th Aviation Regiment is being deployed to Krasnodar to support the UN resolution for the Independence of the former Soviet Union provinces. In a relatively moderate response, US President Jimmy Carter and the other NATO countries are deploying a force consisting of elements from the 9th Infantry Division, 6th Cavalry Air Brigade, an MAU from the 1st Marine Division, and SOC from Green Berets, SAS, and SASR. USAF is preparing 3 squadrons of F5-E and 2 squadrons of F4-E to provide air support.

The Nevada Test and Training Range (NTTR) has the largest contiguous air and ground space available for peacetime military operations in the free world. Covering an area roughly the size of Germany, the NTTR land area includes simulated air defense systems, mock airbases, and several target ranges. The NTTR was also used for nuclear testing. Today, it is home to RED FLAG and other military exercises that pit pilots and other military personnel from around the world against each other in simulated but highly-realistic aerial combat.
The NTTR map for DCS World includes Nellis AFB, Creech AFB and the Top Secret facility at Groom Lake AFB (aka Area 51).
