"Ambient Spawns" - I don't like being the only one taking off so I've added AI that spawn when you do around the airfield.

You are a "Battle Angel", a member of Blue's elite Helicopter Combat Rescue Team "Cesar". The battle for control of Mineralnye Vody has turned into a prolonged aerial conflict.

You are tasked with retrieving downed pilots north of 'Cesar Ridge' and return them to a Field Hospital inside the safe zone (marked by red smoke). Expect opposition forces to be around that are searching for pilots, so perhaps bring a friend in a gunship.

Turning off SSAO in the ingame options does not change the new shadows in the cockpit.

Intercept an unknown supersonic aircraft in a dynamic, high-threat environment.

-=Summary=-
Following the successful repelling of Soviet Ground Forces by the Georgian Separatists, NATO forces based in Kutaisi & Batumi have been cooperating with local insurgents to prevent a Soviet counter attack. If the spy plane violates our border, you are to intercept it and shoot it down! Show these westerners a little Soviet hospitality!

-=Objectives=-
(1) Intercept NATO spy plane.
(2) Shoot the aircraft down if it violates our borders!
(3) Avoid crossing the border.
(4) Evade enemy air defences.
(5) Return to desired airbase & shutdown the aircraft (independent from interception outcome).

6 Ranges to choose from, Sheffield, Ardent, Antelope, Coventry, Conveyor and Galahad for Ground Attack, Air to Air, Anti Ship, HARM / Radar and Runway busting.
A rescue mission scenario activated via the radio menu.

There are 2 versions included, one for hot starts and one for cold starts.

This is a MULTIPLAYER-ONLY mission. Your aircraft will literally explode if you attempt to play it in SP!!


No mods or scripts used.


Mission is on the Syria map.


This sandbox is not just for the Mi-24. It has many missions that directly involve the Mi-8 and also features the Su-25, MiG-21, MiG-23, L-39 and Combined Arms.


The date is 20 October 1986. The war in Afghanistan is near its peak and so is the involvement of the USSR. In this mission you and your friend(s) can take on the role of pilots, planners, commanders and even insurgents in a sandbox that attempts to create a semi-realistic representation of the Soviet-Afghan war as it was in 1986.

The ‘Nile Valley’ camouflage scheme appeared on Egyptian aircraft at the end of the seventies. The Egyptian command concluded that the two color scheme
as delivered by the Soviets was inadequate for combat in the Middle East. The result was a scheme composed of three tones on the upper surfaces.
The front of the nose was adorned with the head of the ‘Red Demon’, but the relevance of this is still uncertain. It is possible that it is a unit marking.
