In the wake of the MEB's withdrawl, the US government is planning to send an Army division to provide continuing, long term security in the country. In the midst of this handoff a nearby Marine Expeditionary Unit aboard the LHA Tarawa will provide a temporary stop gap force in the northwest of Oman where a brutal insurgency against the new Sultan is forming.
