This is the new 2021 CF-18 Demo scheme for the upcoming air show season.

This year's theme is 'Strong At Home'. It commemorates all domestic operations undertaken by the RCAF, as well as the 50th anniversary of the Snowbirds. An Eagle head design adorns the tail, with its feathers represented by maple leaves. The 8 leaves are meant to represent 8 of the 9 Snowbirds, the ninth being out as the missing man, as a tribute to all Canadians lost this year.

The inner tails feature a large maple leaf and all 12 named domestic operations of the RCAF.

The "Fireballs" were yet another European-based aerobatic display team from the Royal Canadian Air Force.

The team was first created in 1954 and with its distinctive all-red Canadair F-86 Sabree aircraft participated in various shows in Europe.

The Fireballs aerobatic team's paint scheme lasted for a very short period only, as a superior officer eventually decided that people might mistake the team for being "Communist" and ordered the red paint stripped off.

Flew in this red paint scheme during the CNE in 1955. This particular aircraft eventually made its way into the hands of Bob Hoover who flew it at the Mojave Air Races in the 1970's under the civil registration N8686D.

Sabre Mk. 5 23314, originally taken on charge in 1954. Would eventually see service with 441 Squadron and RCAF Chatham STU Pilot training school. It was sold to the civilian market in 1973. It was involved in an incident in 1976 and necessitated repairs, one of which was the fitting of a slatted F-40 wing with wing tip extensions, effectively making it a Mk. 6. It flew the US air show circuit as "The Huff" for years afterwards and in 2007 it was acquired by Vintage Wings of Canada and repainted as Hawk One for the 2009 Centennial celebrations.
