Update: Broken as of whatever patch broke missions.
Requires joe_rowe's Civilian Objects and SUNSTAG's NATO Personnel and Items mods. A remake of the Huey's QuickStart Ground Attack - Easy mission that adds a ground cold start to avoid the mid-air spawn bug, and provides some depth to liven up the battlefield and contextualize the mission in a backstory.

F/A-18 Counter-Insurgency Valley Strike

I've been having fun lately adding voice recordings to missions. This is a quick nighttime strike in the Hornet with voice overs from the mission commander and another unit. Fairly straightforward mission, but a couple of surprises along the way.

Mission Brief:
"Good evening, everyone. We have received intelligence that a high value target is camped out in a mountain valley north of Kutaisi. The mission tonight is simple: Take out the target. There's not a lot of maneuvering room in the valley, so Dodge flight, a single F-18 will go in alone armed with rockets. A single Apache, Springfield flight, will be standing by for additional CAS. Uzi will be on station over the camp providing forward air control, and will designate targets as needed. Overlord will provide mission command. Additional details will be provided after startup."

So this started as just a simple air refuelling mission for me and my friends...

...Then it kind of got out of hand
over the past few months, I have used this mission to learn more about the Mission Editor at the same time as building my friends and I a simple training mission that covers everything we could think of. we had tried various missions available but found many of them unsuitable due to a number of factors. In short, we wanted to be able to start in-game and then change up our training on the fly EG. Do some ground attack then a quick dogfight then some cats n traps with some refuelling thrown in in-between
we have found this mission has fulfilled all of our needs and we hope it does the same for you. all the information you need to know is in the briefing
