F-16CM livery based on F-16C AF#89-2114 of the 121st Fighter Squadron (DCANG), which was one of the two Vipers that launched without any armament on a suicide mission, in reaction to the 9/11 attacks.

After learning that the Pentagon was hit, and that another airliner was hijacked, then LTC. Marc "Sass" Sasseville and then LT. Heather "Lucky" Penney were authorized to launch their F-16s and were ordered to locate and destroy the hijacked United Airlines Flight 93.  Sasseville and Penney argeed they did not have time for the ground crews to arm their fighters, and decided that if they located United 93, they would purposefully crash their fighters into the cockpit and tail section of the airliner, destroying it and themselves in the process.  While searching for United 93, they intercepted several small aircraft unaware of the events that morning and directed them to land.  After approximately two hours, they had to return to Andrews AFB, to refuel, when they learned that United 93 had earlier crashed in Pennsylvania after the passengers had revolted against and overwhelmed the hijackers.

89-2114 was flown by then LTC. Sasseville that day.

Made in honor of the first responders and victims of 9/11. Never Forget.
