In this fictitious scenario, Abkhazia and South Ossetia have joined Russia. Georgia then became a member of NATO.
The tensions between Nato and Russia are enormous.
The 22nd Fighter Squadron "Stingers" of the US Air Force was ordered to Kutaisi, the first NATO airbase in Georgia. The British Air Force was also stationed at the base. German Tornados from Reconnaissance Wing 51 "Immelmann" are also based in Kutaisi.
In this mission, you escort a Tornado on a reconnaissance flight.
Your primary task is to escort. Your F-16CM is equipped with an HTS pod. Your secondary task is to collect data.
You fly north, then along the Russian border between Abkhazia and South Ossetia and then back south to the base.
Russian patrols are in the air between Sochi and Beslan several times a week.
There have been two border crossings this spring. Both times were precarious but peaceful.
ROE - Weapons hold.
Do not fly over the borders. We don't yet know how the Russian trigger finger works.
The mission is covered by a Sentry / Wizard south of Kutaisi.
Wizard monitors the operation and acts as operation center.
Unfortunately, it is difficult to follow what is happening behind the mountains.
