Basic training practice, starting cold at Nellis, with an active airfield running the course of the mission. Nothing spectacular, but it gives a more realistic airfield feel as opposed to an empty airfield with just you taking off for practice.
I am slowly updating this map. I would like it to eventually have some JTAC setup, as well as civilian airfields operating with civilian aircraft, watch this space.
You start cold and request rearm with munitions that suit the type of practice you want to conduct. The airfield has a large number of aircraft departing. There will also be aircraft arriving and taking off throughout the course of the mission (for as long as you want to train, aircraft will be active). The airfield wont be saturate with aircraft every 5 minutes, there will be arrivals every half hour or so, which is more realistic. Land and re-arm as much as you want. Please let me know if there are any modules I have used that are not standard so I can replace them and upload a standard version.
UPDATE 1.3 - 7/6/2025
-Background chatter removed - Unfortunately, this was enough to make the mission crash after a few minutes. Best I can suggest for now is play it in the background, plenty of long youtube videos of military radio chatter you could play.
- 2x Chinooks (static) added to the helicopter bays at Nellis.
UPDATE 1.2
-Nellis Apron exhaust walls added with 3 hornets parked, 1 being repaired.
-Salute crew added next to aircraft, they will salute once you taxi (Requires Massan92's addon).
-Airshow added at Laughlin for some fun if bored (Waypoint added and in mission notes).
-Tanker taking off, landing and refueling from Creech now instead of Nellis (Mission notes updated).
-Tonopah Test Range is now an active airfield, with static aircraft and active planes taking off and landing.
UPDATE 1.1
-Background radio chatter added (Recorded from "Dynamic Relaxing" radio chatter on youtube), hoping this adds that extra bit of immersion. The file is noticeably larger due to the chatter recording.
-F15's flying over for 1x single pass 6 mins into mission.
-Jeeps moving on taxi way at beginning.
