Belgian Air Force FA-18 in a livery for 45 years 350th squadron.
FA-18 was the first BAF F-16 to be decorated this way.
Marking the start a beautiful tradition within the BAF, with many special liveries and tails to follow.
The livery has a red tail with the emblem of the squadron, an old Belgian Warrior, wearing the English crown.
The fuselage is covered with large red Ambiorix wings.

In 1986, FA-18 received a special livery for the 45th anniversary of the 350h squadron. The squadron has the motto "Belgae Gallorum Fortissimi", The Belgians, bravest of the Gauls. Referring to Julius Caesar's quote "Horum omnium fortissimi sunt Belgae" meaning, of all of them, the Belgians are the bravest.

FA-18 was the first Belgian Falcon to receive such a special decoration, with the SQ. insignia on a colorful red tail and red Ambiorix wings on the fuselage.

At the time the squadron was still part of the 1st Fighter Wing at Beauvechain. After disbandment of the 1st wing in Beauvechain, the squadron and personnel became part of the 2nd wing in Florennes, were it is still active to this day.

This livery was made using the improved F16 template from "Texac".
Roughmaster allowed me to use his textures for the engine exhaust.
