The action of this fictional campaign takes place during the period 2012 in the Persian Gulf !
This the first mission, of this series for the mirage F1.
The scenario predicts that the situation between the United Arab Emirates and Iran is deteriorating. The talks were unsuccessful and numerous border accidents broke out in the strait. Without a territorial agreement, a “no man’s land” sets in and competing oil companies grant each other concessions and no foreign power wishes to engage in these private conflicts.

To defend their interests, these companies therefore call on private forces. In this scenario you are part of the “Krakens” equipped mainly with F1 Mirages. Their crews are made up of mercenaries from multiple countries that have used this device (South Africa, Jordan, Kuwait, Iraq, Ecuador, Spain, France, etc.). This private force is formed to counter subversive guerrilla threats against installations and also to strengthen the defense of oil platforms.
Different versions of the Mirage F1 are present within this group because during 2010 the aircraft was gradually withdrawn from the service of a good number of air forces and therefore “available on the market”.
The first mission consists of transporting 2 of these planes to AL Ain airport. These planes were purchased demilitarized for this ferry flight. They do not wear cockades or weapons. It is planned to completely repaint them and arm them discreetly in an area of AL Ain airport. This flight passes through a restricted zone (OO37) off the coast of Muscat (Oman). During the passage through this zone, it is planned that the flight will take place under the escort of 2 Mirage 2000s from the United Arab Emirates.
The patrol is made up of 2 F1 mirages, a two-seater (cougar) which will be the leader and you (Tiger 1). For this flight you are required to fly on patrol and follow the instructions of your Cougar leader. Exceptionally the mission will begin in flight, you will be placed just behind Cougar who will indicate the waypoints and the frequencies and channels on the radios.
You will need to follow the instructions for the radios so that you can listen to communications with your leader, other patrols, air traffic control, the control tower and airport ground control.
Approach and landing at AL Ain airport will be in accordance with the airport VOR beacon (Waypoint 9). A landing is planned in trail formation, you must land 30 seconds behind your leader.
The mission will be successful if you park your plane in location no. 5 at Al Ain airport. It is planned to repaint the aircraft and equip it to the “Kraken” standard by the mechanics of the Kraken group, so you will be asked to transport this aircraft to parking lot 5 following the instructions in accordance with your flight plan. A little “make-up” is planned for your plane. All the information relating to your flight and the airport is present on your kneeboards.
