Alternative manual countermeasures programs for F-16C
On F-16C countermeasures programs are set on DED. On the ICP press List and then 7 CMDS. CMDS pages may be cycled through by positioning the DCS switch right to SEQ.
The default countermeasures programs are saved on
C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta\Mods\aircraft\F-16C\Cockpit\Scripts\EWS\CMDS\device\CMDS_ALE47.lua and they are:
Auto Presets
Threat Type 1 4 Chaff 0 Flare 6"
Threat Type 2 6 Chaff 0 Flare 6"
Threat Type 3 8 Chaff 0 Flare 4"
Manual
Program 1 10 Chaff 10 Flare 10"
Program 2 10 Chaff 10 Flare 5"
Program 3 10 Chaff 10 Flare 5"
Program 4 10 Chaff 10 Flare 2.5"
Program 5 40 Chaff 40 Flare 15"
Program 6 1 Chaff 1 Flare 0"
Programs 1-4 can be selected with PRGM knob on Countermeasures Dispenser System (CMDS) Panel and dispensed with Countermeasures (CMS) Switch FWD on Stick (CMS FWD dispenses the currently selected CMDS program*).
Program 5 is dispensed with the Panic (Slap) Button on left wall over Throttle Quadrant.
Program 6 is dispensed with CMS Switch Left.
This file can be modified to change the default programs.
The file provided set the countermeasure programs as:

If changed this file is overwritten with every DCS Update. Use OvGME or JSGME or replace manually after every update on C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta\Mods\aircraft\F-16C\Cockpit\Scripts\EWS\CMDS\device
I usually se t the Mode to MAN and sel ect the Program 3. So with CMS FWD 8 Chaff are dispensed, and with CMS Left 8 Flares are dispensed.
Program 1 dispenses 1 chaff and 1 flare, Program 2 dispenses 2 chaffs and 2 flares, Program 4 dispenses 10 chaffs and 10 flares (like default Program 4) and Program 5 dispenses 20 chaffs and 20 flares. For chaff or flares only, flares or chaffs respectively may be turned off fr om CMDS panel.
* In Bypass (BYP) Mode CMS FWD dispenses 1 Chaff and 1 Flare (no matter Program 6, assuming CH & FL are ON).
