A simple strike mission utilizing trainer jets. This is the initial version and has no fancy voice overs or instructions (yet). Just a straight forward strike mission close to the Russian border. Mission allows for MB-339A, L-39ZA, C-101CC, and F-5E. Mission can be flown SP or MP. A single jet can complete the objective alone, but bring your friends to ensure all targets of opportunity are destroyed! Enjoy!
This mission is designed to be a simple, straight forward sortie to practice live combat engagement utilizing basic training aircraft that do not generally receive a lot of love with customized missions. The threat environment is designed to be challenging, but not impossible for these trainers to handle. Hope you enjoy it.
* * * * SITUATION * * * *
Separatist have been committing atrocities and war crimes in Georgia, just south of the Russian border where they feel safest. NATO has agreed to take action against these Separatists through tightly controlled and very limited engagement.
A staging area critical to the Separatists has been found located in the remote village of Garbani. Your task is to inflict as much damage as possible on any military target. While you are cleared to engage any structure or dwelling that shows military activity, you must avoid civilian casualties at all costs.
The only known threat is a single 100mm KS-19 AAA cannon and small arms from light armored vehicles. We do not expect the Separatists to possess any other kind of SHORAD or missile defense system. The KS-19 was last seen in the heart of the primary target staging area, though it is moved around often.
Garbani is located at the base of a ravine between two tall mountain ranges. The terrain will be challenging with only one solid ingress and one solid egress. Watch your speed and positioning. Don't fly straight on the attack! The terrain forces your attack runs to be predictable. Eyes open and never stop moving.
Be alert, there have been additional Separatist forces branching out from Garbani. Keep in mind that the primary mission must be completed. Targets of opportunity come after. The primary target is the supply yard and surrounding structures at the target waypoint.
Additionally, you will be very close to the Russian border. DO NOT CROSS INTO RUSSIAN AIRSPACE. Russia is very unhappy that NATO is placing military assets this close to their border and violation of their airspace will end in escalated conflict.
