This age old adage was the guiding star to the pilots of Electronic Attack Squadron 530 the morning of August 30th 2015 when the first news of the Emmerian-Estovakian war reached the 3rd Carrier Group in the Fuscum Sea. For a desperate 18 hours, the brave Emmerian Pilots of the "Shielders" flew electronic jamming sorties to disrupt the Estovakian ships hunting for the underprepared fleet, eventually allowing their group to rejoin with the Emmerian Navy's Second Fleet retreating Gracemeria.
Life for Shielder would not be easy once they had regrouped with the fleet however. Being one of the last EA-6B Squadrons left in the entire military, Shielder was relied upon for the next nine months in operations against the Estovakian invaders providing Electronic Warfare support and defending the fleet in thousands of sorties.
Their dedication to holding the line at all cost has given Shielder a well-earned reputation amongst the fleet and given the crews that have come since a level of excellence to strive for.
