Operation Accountability (1993) was an Israeli military campaign from July 25 to 31, launched in response to Hezbollah rocket attacks on northern Israel. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) aimed to weaken Hezbollah and pressure Lebanon and Syria to restrain the group. The Israeli Air Force (IAF) conducted extensive airstrikes on Hezbollah positions, infrastructure, and power stations in southern Lebanon, while Hezbollah fired rockets into Israel. The operation caused significant civilian displacement on both sides but failed to provide a lasting solution. It was a precursor to Operation Grapes of Wrath (1996).
