VF-85 "Red Arrows" was established in 1967, flying the F-4J. Assigned to Carrier Air Wing 12 aboard the OFS Hubert, the squadron would serve with their sister unit, VF-18 "Pirates" during the final weeks of the Clavis Conflict, though the Huberts Air Wing would not see any action at this time.
It would not be until the Adama Island Rebellion where Red Arrows Phantoms were critical in the landing operations, warning off repeated rebel air attacks on the Pro-Government forces landing on the island.
In 1985, the Red Arrows along with the Pirates were slated to transition into the F-14B, however midway through the training the Osean Maritime Defense Force deactivated the unit, with aircrews and aircraft assigned to pre-existing F-14 Squadrons.
