Your primary objective is to destroy a SAM component (SA-11 Buk 'Gadfly' Fire Dome TEL) that is about to be shipped out from the Port of Beirut.

As a high-value target, it is heavily protected.

Your secondary objectives are: destruction of two ZU-23 AAA emplacements and destruction of two patrolling BTRs. One AAA gun is situated north of the main port area, and the other is to the east. The BTRs are patrolling the main port grounds.

Beware of armed pickups; one is located in the main port area and another to the west. Infantry units are operating within the port and its vicinity. Intel suggests that one soldier in the main port area is equipped with an SA-18 Igla 'Grouse' MANPAD.

Unarmed trucks within the port may be treated as targets of opportunity.

Only the positions of the ZU-23 AAA emplacements are known exactly.

You will be operating an OH-58D Kiowa Warrior out of Beirut Rafic Hariri Airport, located approximately 9km south of the target area.

OVERVIEW:
Coalition forces are conducting a coordinated air operation to regain control of key areas of the island. The mission includes simultaneous strike and deep penetration operations that are expected to trigger multiple enemy fighter scrambles equipped with long-range missiles.
F-14 Tomcat flights are tasked with providing fighter escort, air superiority, and protection of multiple strike packages. Successful mission execution is critical to ensure the safe return of all strike assets and to open an air corridor for follow-on transport and helicopter operations.

END STATE:
All enemy scramblers destroyed or disengaged.
Safe return of F-117, A-6E, and Harrier aircraft.
Air corridor secured for follow-on forces.

INTEL:
Fighter response expected from Ercan, Paphos, and Bassel Air Base.
