One of the last active duty F-4E Phantom II Squadrons in the Erusean Air Force, their technological disadvantage did not bother the pilots of Glamrock at all. Viewing themselves as some of the last cowboys left of a world that long since forgotten when dogfighting was guns and heaters only, the men and women assigned to the 36th TFS were proud of their outdated airframes, and gladly showed off to local air shows up until the outbreak of the Lighthouse War in 2019; Where they proved to be a force not to be trifled with, in their various engagements against IUN and Osean forces in Usea.
The squadron's final assignment was during Operation Sighthound, where they would unsuccessfully defend the Alicorn Submarine against an Osean Air and Naval raid. During the battle, nearly all of the Glamrock fighters would be downed, with many of their crews not surviving. Today only a small handful of jets assigned to the 36th still survive, with their flagship earmarked for preservation as a testament
